Natasha Awah Statement of Intent Throughout this journey of transformation, my purpose from the start has been to explore the body as a vessel of transformation in depthly. In terms of the body in its physicality but also looking at it more abstractly in terms of its shape and using those shapes to communicate emotions. This journey has helped me see the importance of line, colour and shapes in art and communication of it. My final pieces will explore the body in this way with inspirations from artists such as Francis Bacon and Jenny Saville with elements of Paula Rego’s style of story telling.
