I’m afraid I couldn’t work out how to insert a video - but here is the link to my final project (a short film) for the digital media section of my coursework.

Preparation for my etching piece, by replicating my original reference photo in graphite pencils, and then pens.

Etching outcomes

The final outcome of the year 10 fine art module (oil paint on canvas)

Apologies for the pixelated image - I do not have access to the sketchbook to take a more focused one

We experimented with many different textile techniques, including numerous different heat processes, as detailed in the previous slide.

Potential designs for my textiles final piece

My textiles final piece (Y10 end of year exam)

The following slides are exhibition pages/artists research from an exhibition of Olafur Eliasson’s work in the Tate Modern that I went to.

My digitally drawn linocut designs, based on my original photography.

Further observations and analysis of Nick Hayes’ linocut work, for the Heartwood campaign in Sheffield that has a strong personal connection to my family.

Final outcomes of linocut printing - I struggled a lot with aligning and registering my print layers accurately, but I am pleased with this brightly coloured outcome.

One of my badly aligned linocut 3-stage-print outcomes: the inaccurate registering makes the piece seem rushed and unprofessional. While it is not the ideal outcome and next time I would definitely ensure the layers were printed accurately, in some ways I like the unregistered look; it creates a hazy and dynamic image, particularly with the pop-art-style forms on the mirror around the subject.

A board showcasing a smaller linocut experiment I did. Apologies that the photograph shown here cuts off the base of the board as I do not have this board with me currently, I am unable to rephotograph it.

I feel that the following photographs of folded photocopies of my work do not show it in the most clear and unobstructed way, but as I do not have access to these pieces I cannot rephotograph the originals (which I had mounted onto white card in preparation for display at the exhibition)
