This digital art work is based of the protein (5of1). It depicts proteins that form biofilms produced by microorganisms to help other microorganisms to attach at the same place. Thus, help to bind the 'community' of bacteria. I drew copies of the proteins overlaying them to indicate the web they produce. Creating a complex and interesting pattern alluding to the idea of community. Whilst all the element are the same they have come together to make a product greater than the sum of its parts with results that could not have been predicted creating an emergent complex system.
