Pattern
Top and elevation drawings with line weights to show depth
This was a partner project. We made our own motifs and then combined them and found ways to have continous connections or morphing. One main focus was how it was closed on the elevation and open from the top.

Drawdel
For the Drawdel, I had to choose a model, drawing, and collage/watercolor from any past projects. I decided to take ideas from the Pattern project.
I watercolored on top of Bristol and Foam Core with gradients. Then painted acrylic on acetate to continue the cool colors throughout the whole model. The bristol is used to incooporate the model from the pattern project.
The Drawdel was not only based off of the Pattern project, but also one of Liu Wei’s paintings in the MOCA. I saw the connection with the pixels in the painting and the squares in the top view of the Pattern project.
It starts out with a uniform pattern in a diamond shape then carries into my motif, morphs into a separate motif, and explodes into many directions with chaos. The acetate is used as an interface between the delicate bristol sitting ontop and the Foam Core that holds together the structure.

Mediatic Device
The idea behind my project is that it will perform as a mediatic device, displaying physical media, data, social media, and allows use of physical space and all of its spaces 24/7. It is mainly populated with Kent State students and the Kent community to bring the two together in a large urban function. You can connect and talk with people, scroll through the data of the project, or you can connect through social platforms. The physical and data networks are seen on the outside and inside of the mediatic device, and are separated by the stairs and exterior that act as the event
Entertainment Center
Entertainment space underground where people can go to get food and drinks and enjoy music. Although they are underground, they sill feel a connection to the outside through the skylights on the grand steps and the glass wall continuing above ground from the cafe.
