The Spertus Chicago Scholarship

Investing in Chicago’s Jewish Communal Professionals

Funded by an anonymous donor, the Spertus Chicago Scholarship aims to invigorate Chicago’s Jewish community by investing in the education, training, and development of Jewish communal professionals. Incoming students from the Chicago area are eligible for funds of up to $2,000 toward Spertus Institute’s MA in Jewish Professional Studies (MAJPS) or Executive MA in Jewish Professional Studies (EMAJPS) 2022 cohorts. Funds are limited.

About this exciting initiative, Spertus President and CEO Dr. Dean P. Bell said: “Spertus Institute is proudly based in Chicago, our home for nearly 100 years. Although the learning we provide no longer has geographic boundaries —and increasingly has impact worldwide—we have a special commitment to our Chicago community, which this scholarship fund will strengthen and enrich.”

Next MAJPS cohort begins January 2022; application deadline is September 23, 2021. Next EMAJPS cohort begins fall 2022. See spertus.edu/majps or spertus.edu/executive for details.
