Second, I wanted to express my gra tude to the many folks that made this past term a success. Thank you to the amazing Board of Directors – an incredibly passionate group of 20 volunteers that regularly gave me of out their busy schedules to partake in a greater cause. It was a pleasure working alongside you all and crea ng meaningful opportuni es for our members to learn, network, grow and give back. Thank you to my loving husband for being my trustworthy reviewer of these rive ng monthly chairman corners. Honestly all the spouses of board members deserve a shout out for their selfless support of the chapter behindthe-scenes – it is truly a team effort.

Last but certainly not least, thanks to all of you – our amazing SPE members! Thank you for taking advantage of the variety of events the Chapter put on this past year. Whether it was a fundraising spor ng event, community service, happy hour, or technical luncheon, you all showed up and contributed to our Chapter’s success. I hope you’ve learned a thing or two and forged new connec ons this past year. The rela onships you develop through SPE can truly drive your professional growth and provide a great resource in every stage of your career.

This month marks the start of new beginnings for many of the current SPE officers, whether it’s moving to a new city, country or star ng a new role. The transient nature of the business and term melines creates a natural handover process every year leading into the summer months. We received a high amount of interest in open Board roles, and a er reviewing all applicants, would like to introduce the new slate that will be leading the charge star ng in August 2024. Tyler Yancey, currently Vice-Chairman of SPE and a Produc on Engineer at Chevron, will be stepping up to take on the role of Chairman along with the impressive list of folks displayed on the following page. Tyler is a down to earth and genuine leader who is passionate about serving the local community The Permian Basin Chapter is in good hands!
