Anais Koopmans I was born in Germany but grew up in London. At the age of 14 I started to work with analogue photography and I have ever since been fascinated by photography. I am interested in ethical fashion because when I was younger, I was a victim of the fast fashion industry. Over the years I became aware of its damaging effects on the environment and the unacceptable working conditions in the industry. My shopping habits changed to clothes that have a more sustainable trail. I am keen to realise a similar aspiration in fashion photography. My second interest is body image. As a teenager, I had body dysmorphia. Photographing bodies and taking self-portraits as an expression of body-positivity helped me to accept myself the way I was. Since then, a wide variety of aspects of human bodies has been a real source of inspiration for me.
