es, life is most certainly a luxury. I embrace every moment with passion and purpose, supported by the incredible team at Spencer Magazine. Therasa, Jonathan, Ivor and many others are the heart and soul of this publication. As the publisher, I appreciate their commitment and contributions for making Spencer what it is today with highly inspired articles and stunning photography. As for this issue, it's very special to me. First off, I would like to congratulate "The Pilot" in celebrating their 80th anniversary! I've been a patron for years and it's one of my favourite places in Yorkville. The art, the Jazz, the camaraderie, it's all there and will be for many years to come, with Michelle Elliot and Kyle Stuart at the helm. Second, our new section, "Culture & Society" with Ivor Pinder covering important events and galas in our great city of Toronto. Look closely, you just might find a picture of yourself! And third, the compelling stories of extraordinary people like Chris Marchese, Matthew Davignon, Thiago Snow, Courtney Watkins, Rita Tesolin, Chris Nowrouzi and Michael Stadtländer. About the Creator:

Anita Bhandari, head designer at Aarkish Diamonds, grew up in Antwerp, Belgium. Diamonds have been a big part of her life as she comes from a large family of diamantaires. She spent much of her time in the Antwerp Diamond market where she gained her initial training in the field. It is a pan-Caribbean Carnival event and has been billed as North America's largest street festival, frequented by over 1.3 million visitors each year for the festival's final parade.

Casa Loma Casa Loma is the only authentic castle in North America, a Gothic Revival castle-style mansion and garden in midtown Toronto, now a historic house museum and landmark. It was constructed from 1911 to 1914 as a residence for financier Sir Henry Pellatt. The architect was E. J. Lennox, who designed several other city landmarks.

St. Lawrence Market National Geographic has ranked the St. Lawrence Market as the best market in the world. First established in the early 19th century, originating from a proclamation that established a designated area for a public market in 1803. The first buildings erected for the market emerged in 1814, with the first permanent structures built in 1820.
