Oneota Park, on the east edge of Spencer, is the headquarters of the Clay Conservation Department. Conservation naturalists offer educational and fun programs throughout the year for young and old. If you’re into sports, try out the disc golf course laid out in West Leach Park.

Car Cruising
Cruise along and see a number of classic cars during the Grand Cruise in Spencer during Flagfest. Local car clubs such as Old Iron Company and the Black Knights Car Club host various cruises around the county during the summer season. They can both be found on Facebook for more information. Don’t forget to check out the Clay County Fair Speedway for weekly IMCA races on the 3/8 mile track.
Paddle Along
Wanata Park, on the Southeast edge of Peterson features a boat ramp, canoeing, flat bottom boats and kayaking. Motor boating can also be done at Thunder Bridge Wildlife Refuge, Stouffer Memorial Wildlife Refuge and many other wildlife areas around the county.
