What is Gingertown?
Each year, teams comprised of Atlanta’s top architects and designers gather for a night of fun, frenzy, and imagination to build a majestic village of gingerbread houses lovingly known as Gingertown.
Hosted at the Specialty Tile show room in Buckhead, the highly anticipated Gingerbread building competition annually raises money for a selected charity benefiting our community.

OVERALL BEST IN SHOW MOST UNIQUE USE OF CANDY THE INNOVATIVE ARCHITECTURE AWARD HONORABLE MENTION
OFFICIAL RULES
• Each team will receive one plot base (12”x15”) provided out of gator board. Building may only take place on your designated plot base and must be structurally sound to move from your building table to the world map.
• Each plot will indicate “adjoining walls”: these are sides that will be up against another building, so plan accordingly. Your plot is also marked on the town, so you can see it in context.
• All of the base material must be covered in candy.
• Each team will begin with an equal amount of gingerbread to start with, as well as royal icing (to be used as “glue”), and white frosting. Additional limited quantities of gingerbread will be available on an as needed basis. Colored frosting will be available at the frosting bar.
• Listen carefully! The Candy Bar will open PROMPTLY at 6pm and run until supplies run out. You are welcomed and encouraged to bring your own candy or other edible supplies.
• All structural building materials must be edible, but ornamental details such as LED lights are allowed. Use of non edible building supplies may result in disqualification.
• Each plot is represented by a unique selection of candy that will be provided by STP at your building table. This candy must be used in your final design.
• Your final build must represent your plot’s designated exhibit... but creative liberties are welcomed!
