Superintendent’s message about bus driver shortage
Eatonville’s Alayna Meyer brings the ball upfield in a match last week against Onalaska. Meyer would put in a two goal performance to help power the Cruisers to a 3-1 victory.
By Jay Brower
Eatonville School District Superintendent
First and foremost, I apologize for the impact that the bus driver shortage has had on our Eatonville students and families. The Eatonville School District is diligently working to address Jay Brower this issue, as is almost every other school district in Washington. Despite our extensive efforts, we still find ourselves lacking sufficient bus drivers to cover all routes, resulting in route cancellations and rerouting efforts. However, our determination remains unwavering and we are committed to finding viable solutions to alleviate this problem. BUS Page 6

Eatonville Cruisers maintain undefeated streak Team nabs a 3-1 victory over Onalaska Loggers By Skip Smith
Contributing Writer
The Eatonville Cruisers continued their undefeated run this season with a commanding 3-1 victory over the Onalaska Loggers in an action-packed soccer match. The Lady Cruisers displayed their prowess on the pitch, and Alayna
Meyer emerged as the star of the evening with a stellar two-goal performance. In the early stages of the game, the Cruisers earned a corner kick, and it was Haley Courson who stepped up to take it. Courson's precise delivery found Meyer who sent the ball crashing into the back of the Pirates' net. With a 1-0 lead secured, the Cruisers didn't relent. Their attack paid off once more before
the halftime whistle. Mary Van Eaton showcased her scoring prowess, capitalizing on a brilliant assist from Hannah Hanson. Van Eaton's clinical finish gave them a comfortable 2-0 advantage as they headed into halftime. The second half saw a spirited effort from the Onalaska Loggers, who managed to break through the Cruisers' defense and score SOCCER Page 3
