In November 2017, Speaking Volumes presented a Breaking Ground showcase in Seville, Spain, with further events in Madrid. Invited to the Association for the Study of the Worldwide African Diaspora ASWAD) with performances by six leading contemporary black British prose writers: Yvvette Edwards, Colin Grant, Peter Kalu, Irenosen Okoje, Jacob Ross and Leone Ross.
To accompany their visit we commissioned translations of a selection of their work into Spanish as a further resource, along with the Breaking Ground booklet, to publishers, literature professionals and event attendees. There was so much to include, this booklet is in two parts.
