ARTICLE I
The nameofGod'schurchshallbe the St. Paul's Baptist Church, anditis locatedin West Chester, Pennsylvania. Forpurposesofthisdocument, itwillbereferredto manytimes as "the Church".
ARTICLE II
Mission
As calledpeopleofGod, unitedin Christ'slove, thathavechosen to align withHis will, it is themissionofSt. Paul's Baptist Churchtoproclaim the gospel ofJesus Christ by word and deed.
Weshallministertotheneedsofourbrothersandsistersin Christ, tothoseinthe community, and shallworktogetherto spread the gospel throughouttheworld.
ARTICLE III
Purpose
RecognizingJesus Christ asthe onlyHeadofthe Church, this congregation shallseekto ascertain and toobeythe willofour Lordin all mattersoffaithandpractice. Authorityto reach decisions for governingtheaffairsofthischurchbeinggivento us byChrist,we holdthatsuchoversightandresponsibilityis vestedinthe active membershipofthe congregation.
In carryingoutthewiderministryforwhich Christhasmadehis churchresponsible, we shall bea memberofat least one, butnot limited to the ProgressiveNational Baptist Convention, National BaptistConvention, USA, IncortheAmerican Baptist Convention.
This church shall alsobe in cooperationwiththelarger Christian fellowship atthestate and locallevelto fulfill the Great Commission ofour Lordand SaviorJesus Christ throughpreaching, teaching andhealing.
