Sermonic Selection... “ Leaning on the Everlasting Arms” …Inspirational Choir

“We don’t need another political uprising. We don’t need another conqueror on the scene. What we need is a special word, that will bond within our hearts and give us direction from above. We need a Word from the Lord. A Word from the Lord. Just one Word from the Lord, will remove all the doubts and cause the sun to shine and give peace of mind. Speak Lord, Speak Lord.”

The People’s Baptist Church, Philadelphia, PA

A native of South Philadelphia, PA, Langston is a proud graduate of Cairn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biblical Studies and Organizational Management, and Mission Theological Seminary (formerly Biblical Theological Seminary) with a Master of Arts degree in Missional Ministry. Baptized in his youth, Langston was officially licensed a Minister of the Gospel of Christ in October 2008 at the St. Paul’s Baptist Church of West Chester PA, by then-Senior Pastor, The Rev. Dr. Robert Scott Jones. After a season of serving as a seminary intern to Pastor Eric J. Goode and The People’s Baptist Church of Southwest Philadelphia, Langston and his family joyfully joined the family of People’s, and in May 2023, was ordained and commissioned Assistant Pastor. Employed at Temple University, he serves as Director of Administration in the Office of the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Langston is happily married to “Tina” Huzzy, a librarian with the Free Library of Philadelphia, and his greatest joy is being father to his daughter, Trinity Renee. Above all, Langston is a Christian man with a testimony, and is unapologetically sold out to the causes of Christ.
