Leni Sinclair, former wife of cannabis activist John Sinclair, will be at the Monroe Street Fair on April 1 to promote her new “tins” of hash-infused cannabis pre-rolls that will include on the cover photos of famous 1970s rock musicians she has photographed in her long career. Only 2,500 tins will be available for each of the five musicians, including Jimmy Hendrix and BB King.

Sinclair will be at the Lost in Sound Detroit booth at the 21st Monroe Street Fair co-founded by Charlie Strackbein. The Fair is held two blocks from the University of Michigan Diag where the Hash Bash has taken place 51 times.

Leni, who lives in Detroit, was the co-founder of the White Panther Party along with her ex-husband and Pun Plamondon. She is a founder of the Rainbow People’s Party. She has been an inspiration to a generation of women, radical political activists and fellow photojournalists, Strackbein said.

Monroe Street Fair still has booths available, he said.

“Yes, and we would love to talk with anyone interested to discover ways we can work together to make this the best Ann Arbor Monroe Street Fair ever,” he said. “Please reach out and let us know you’re interested. You can find our contact form on the front page of our website.”

A long list of cannabis businesses have already booked space at the Fair. They include: Ann Arbors Claw, Arborside and Winewood Organics, Toke Tees, OOZE, Amazing Budz, Gage USA, Law offices of Scott Roberts, Rkive Cannabis, Galena’s Cannabis, Broken Buddhas House, Artist Alfredo of “Catch a Fire” Sew Blue Monday, House of Dank, Muha Meds – a cart brand avail at Cookies in Ann Arbor and other fine retailers throughout the state, Michigan Weedsters a patient and caregiver advocacy group, MINORML and a number of other fine companies.

“Stay tuned for more details and other exciting announcements at the Ann Arbor Monroe Street Fair,” Strackbein said.
