HONORING OUR HISTORY Welcome to Russell Sage College: a small, private coeducational institution with two distinct campuses. Sage has a history of helping veterans to take advantage of their educational benefit – which is evident through our growing veteran population.

Sage values its veterans and veterandependent students, and we are working hard to meet the needs of current and future students.

1946 Russell Sage College (Troy campus) admits 100+ World War II veterans.

1952 Veteran students are transferred to a space in Albany, which becomes Sage’s Albany campus.

TODAY 50 veterans, active duty, and veteran-dependent students attend Sage.

HOW TO APPLY

STUDENT SERVICES: TUTORING CAREER PLANNING WELLNESS/COUNSELING

• Copy of completed application for Veterans education benefits • Copy of DD-214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty) • Notice of basic eligibility (NOBE) if you are in the Reserves

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

• Certificate of Eligibility (you will receive this from the Buffalo Regional VA office once a determination on your eligibility is made) • To find out what education benefits you qualify for and an application for VA benefits, please visit www.gibill.va.gov. The office of Student Services at Russell Sage College certifies Veterans Benefits.
