B&+0"$J+"'' First of all I would like to welcome everyone to Sheffield and to the Sheffield Students Union. Sheffield has been blessed with quality student journalism for close to a century, under many different names before ultimately settling on the Forge Press we know and love today. We’ve been a recognised brand on campus for decades, but when the pandemic hit, like many student publications, we didn’t fair too well. We’ve spent the last year rebuilding our brand, our readership and our contributor pool. But we’re very pleased to say our year has been a success. We are so proud of our news and sports teams, headed by Indie and Jemma, for their hard work during the last few months. Having the #SPANC22 in Sheffield after two years is amazing. I’m sure Ben Warner will be pleased to know his 2019 bid finally came through. Everyone at Forge Press is very excited to get started with all the brilliant speakers and workshops.
