The Alhambra

The Patio de los Leones is one of the Alhambra’s most emblematic spaces, but this stunning monument holds endless treasures: palaces and gardens that play harmoniously with light, water, and symmetry; ceilings describing Paradise; walls that can be read like a book; an ingenious anti-seismic system, and much more. It will steal your breath away.

The Generalife

The Nasrid kings dedicated these charming gardens, which also boast their own palace, as a summer retreat and relaxation area. Although it is part of the Alhambra complex, it can be visited independently. A good option if tickets for a full visit to the Alhambra are sold out.

Albaicín

In this picturesque neighborhood with white, steep streets lies Granada’s origin and its Muslim essence. It once housed over 30 mosques. Later it became a refuge for many Moriscos. Today it is a World Heritage Site full of beautiful ‘cármenes’ (houses with garden) and scenic viewpoints. More info here

Mirador de San Nicolás

A former US president claimed it has the world’s most beautiful sunset. The panoramas of the Alhambra from this viewpoint in the Albaicín are stunning.

Snowy Mountains
