Teal Scaffold is a specialist scaffolding company, operating across the North West. We pride ourselves on providing a professional, reliable, and bespoke service to meet customers scaffolding requirements. We have an experience team that deliver to the highest quality with safety, compliance and customer satisfaction being at the forefront of what we do.
We undertake a pivotal role in delivering social value with the aim to achieve the Sovini Group’s mission of creating opportunities and changing lives. Making a difference is at the core of everything we do and goes beyond our scaffolding services offer.
Based on the National TOMs Framework guidelines, this evaluation confirms that additional social value has been created locally through our working practices and activities. It was calculated that £1.39m of value has been delivered in 2023/24; leading to a combined Social Return on Investment (SROI) of £1.57 for every £1 invested.

The social value total combines the impact achieved on behalf of clients, stakeholders and local communities during the financial year 2023-24.
Social impact benefits have been created through local employment, training and education activities provided by Teal Scaffold. These achievements have resulted in the delivery of an impact value of £557k.
Teal Scaffold are proud supporters of The Sovini Group’s innovative Pathway into Construction programme.
The initiative invites female students from across the Liverpool City Region to enrol on a week-long programme, gaining valuable work experience in the construction industry.
Working collaboratively with Group partners, Sovini Trade Supplies, Sovini Construction and Sovini Property Services, the programme is designed to challenge stereotypes and break down the stigma for female colleagues in the industry.
The Pathway into Construction programme culminates in an interview skills and CV writing workshop with the Group’s People & Learning Team, to support students in securing future employment.
A detailed review established that 21 colleagues were employed by Teal Scaffold in 2023/24, with 100% considered to be local*.
Five learning weeks have been accessed by colleagues, contributing to their personal and professional development.
Colleagues have access to a wide variety of employee benefits that impact positively on their health and wellbeing, as well as providing educational, financial and environmental support.

Economic benefits have been established through the local supply chain and the local workforce providing goods and services to businesses and communities across the North-West. This has resulted in achieving a calculated retained local economic value of £827k.
The retained local economic benefit being achieved through the spend by the local workforce, along with the additional benefit that has been achieved through investment in the supply chain.

Environmental gains being achieved through activities
Our environmental practices are shaped by The Sovini Group’s Net Zero Carbon Commitment, and we’re taking decisive action to tackle our carbon footprint, with our goal being to achieve net zero emissions.
Environmental gains have been achieved through areas such as; innovative ways of recycling construction waste, using Euro 6 standard fuelefficient vehicles, Fleetmatics toolkits, local recruitment and use of local suppliers to create a value of £5k.
Several charitable activities have taken place to benefit local communities, from partnership work, donating labour and services, volunteering, sponsorships and supporting community events and groups. We have proudly achieved a charitable value of £660.
We proudly erected 10m designed buttress Alto HD aluminium scaffold towers at St Helen’s Rugby Club to support volunteers with painting the goal posts ahead of the new season.
We proudly donated over £350 worth of toy vouchers to Krol Corlett Construction’s charity Christmas raffle.
The vouchers were used to purchase toys and gifts for children and young people across our region living in poverty, supporting over vision of creating a better future.
