01 FORWARD Our work is guided by The Sovini Group’s vision of creating a better future for the communities we serve. The Groups inhouse supply chain sees collaborative working across our commercial, social and not-for-profit businesses. This approach improves our service delivery, and supports our mission of creating opportunities and changing lives.

We recognise that success is measured by more than just metrics. Each project must consider it’s social, economic, and environmental impact to ensure a strong and sustainable legacy.

An ethical supply chain that provides sustainable delivery, and community enrichment are as equally important as time, cost, and quality. Each of these points sits at the heart of everything we do, and we are committed to ensuring we deliver on each of these qualities.

02 GROUP OVERVIEW The Sovini Group provides high quality construction, property and facilities services to the public, not-for-profit and private sectors, with a unique end-to-end supply chain.

Our growing commercial activities complement and support our social and notfor-profit businesses, with profits reinvested to build new homes, improve service delivery, and support the communities who remain centric to everything we do.

06 ENVIRONMENTAL Sustainable construction and the wellbeing of our communities go hand in hand.

We understand the environmental impact the delivery of our services has. This includes how we build and maintain our homes, to how we support our stakeholders in adopting environmentally friendly practices.

Net Zero Carbon Commitment We’re taking decisive action to tackle our carbon footprint, with our goal being to achieve net-zero status. To accelerate action, we’ve invested resources and funds, and will continue to do so.

During the build process Sovini Construction has saved 2,300 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2).

We actively procure services from organisations who are committed to reducing their environmental impact, and encourage suppliers to join our net zero carbon commitment.

Our dedicated employee app Ourspace provides colleagues with advice and guidance on how to adopt environmentally conscious changes to both their work and personal lives.

Building Sustainable New Homes All Morris Meadows homes feature environmentally efficient specifications, supplied by the Group’s award-winning local independent building merchant, Sovini Trade Supplies. These include toilets, taps, showers, and light fittings.

This ‘fabric first’ approach focuses on the reduction of energy consumption, through thermal efficiency and running costs for clients.

Circular Economy Service Sovini Construction are committed to a zero-to-landfill approach to facilitate our carbon reduction commitment.

This means that we recycle and reuse 100% of construction waste.

Decarbonisation Materials The 149 homes are built with structurally PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) graded timber, in addition to contracted timber frame specialists to erect the structure.

This approach to building new homes significantly reduces the Group’s carbon footprint through unique manufacturing, reducing energy consumption throughout its lifetime and locking-away atmospheric CO2 for generations.

07 ECONOMIC Sovini Construction’s business ethos stems from using a local supply chain where possible, this has resulted in an estimated £7m of cashable economic impact being created.

08 GOVERNANCE Governance is the internal system of practices, controls and procedures that Sovini Construction has adopted in order to measure our social, environmental and economic impact. It supports us in making effective decisions, complying with the law, and meeting the needs of external stakeholders.

Effective governance is vital in underpinning the work that we do.It enables us to manage risk effectively and take informed decisions based on evidence. We have been working hard to embed a culture of good governance by practicing environmental, social and economic accountability and transparency across all levels of our business and throughout our supply chain.

Our organisational structure allows leadership to instil a culture which uses core values of social responsibility when making business decisions. This in return allows us to enable us to grow responsibility and sustainably.

Remaining transparent We ensure our stakeholders receive clear, accessible, accurate and timely information on issues related to their business area.
