SC Provides Opportunity For Student Evaluation In order to improve Student Council, an all school evaluation and constitutional amendment meeting will be held on Monday, October 2 at 3:45 in lectiire hall C-100. The meeting, the first of its type at Maine South, will give students an opportunity to familiarize themselves with and participate effectively in council. John Davis, president of Student Council, expressed hopes that many students will attend and actively participate at the meeting. If student response to the meeting is favorable, many useful ideas for the improvement of council can be put into affect.

John will discuss the purpose of Student Council and ask the students for suggestions to carry out the purpose effectively. Next, problems facing the student body and council will be di cussed. The final portion of the meeting will be devoted to the discussion of the present constitution. Students will then be reminded that amendments should be presented early in the school year because trere will be no amendments discussed during election periods. Copies of the present constitution wiU be available for consideration from any Student Council representative.

asked to follow this order: Northern Illinois and University of Illinois at Chicago Circle, first session; University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, second session; and Southern Illinois or Western Illinois, third session. Any student wishing to see, for example, both Southern Illinois and Western Illinois representatives should go to one at the appointed time and the other during either of the remaining times.

Suggested ideas to consider when speaking to the representatives include: admission requirements, required tests, curriculum, size of classes, housing, extra-curricular activities, and visitation of the school.
