Shoreham and Southwick u3a Open Day

On Friday 12th May, Shoreham and Southwick u3a will be holding an Open Day at The Shoreham Centre from 12.30 until 3pm.

If you are retired or no longer in full-time work u3a gives you the opportunity to join a local group to develop new or existing interests, have fun and make new friends. There are over 1,030 u3as in the UK that offer a wide range of opportunities for people to get together, to learn from each other for curiosity and fun, benefiting from the skills, interests and experience of our members.

Shoreham and Southwick u3a was set up groups, etc, as well as a members’ newsletter three times a year.

So, if you’d like to find out more, come along to our Open Day on Friday 12th May at The Shoreham Centre to see who we are and in 1990 and, as of 1st January 2023, we have over 560 members. We offer a wide range of activities which includes a monthly programme of talks or performances, and around 60 interest groups ranging from archaeology to wine appreciation, as well as trips, short holidays and other social events. All members can also attend regional and national u3a events, some of which are run on Zoom. You can also sign up for the national and international newsletters and as part of your membership, you will receive the national u3a magazine ‘Third Age Matters’. We send all members a monthly e-bulletin outlining upcoming events, potential new what we do - or take a look at our website on u3asites.org.uk/shoreham-southwick, or just search ‘u3a shoreham’

Love to Move and time to chat

Love to Move is a fun, age and dementia friendly seated movement programme to music. It is suited to older adults, those living with dementia, MS and Parkinson’s and their carers. Delivered by British Gymnastics’ Love to Move coaches. There will be a nominal charge. After the class, there will be refreshments and time to chat.
