YET, ANOTHER CHANCE Alert and Present By Sis. Ricki Fuller

IBoth Notorious B.I.G. and Ricky Dillard & New G recorded songs entitled One More Chance. And, of course, after listening to them both, I was quite encouraged by Ricky Dillard & New G’s rendition.

While still considering ‘reset’ this month, the thought of “One More Chance” struck a chord in my spirit due to recognizing that’s exactly what GOD does for us each and every day. Check out some of the lyrics masterfully done by Ricky Dillard and choir: “I thank GOD for another chance… Thanks for giving me one more chance… Another chance to praise His name… Another chance just to live again… A chance just to fix my life, get it right… Walk that straight, straight and narrow way… Every time I praise Him, I say thanks for giving me one more chance… Thanks for giving me one more chance to walk upright… both day and night… chance to get it straight… chance to get it straight… chance to not hesitate… Thanks for giving me one more chance.” The question could be asked, why does GOD continually give us chance after chance so He can be glorified through our lives? Surely those of us who proclaim to love and honor GOD, have learned of GOD’s tremendous love for us as detailed in John 3:16. There He showers His immense love upon us sharing that He sacrificed The Lord Jesus Christ’s earthly life giving us the opportunity to be restored/reset to the right relationship with Him. How can He continue with us whom He contends in Romans 3:23 that “all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of GOD (AMP)?” He clearly answers that question for us as found in Romans 8:1 (AMP) stating, “Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior].” We receive that promise due to having obeyed Jesus’ salvation doctrine by hearing, believing, confessing, repenting, and being baptized into Christ. Our lives were transformed/reset and enhanced once we underwent and rose from the baptismal waters!

YES! Now, to assure our salvation and renewed lives, I John 2:1-2 (AMP) shows us how GOD accomplishes/keeps His promise: “My little children (believers, dear ones), I am writing you these things so that you will not sin and violate God’s law. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate [who will intercede for us] with the Father: Jesus Christ the righteous [the upright, the just One, who conforms to the Father’s will in every way—purpose, thought, and action]. And He [that same Jesus] is the propitiation for our sins [the atoning sacrifice that holds back the wrath of God that would otherwise be directed at us because of our sinful nature—our worldliness, our lifestyle]; and not for ours alone, but also for [the sins of all believers throughout] the whole world.” Thank You, Lord, for another chance! Hallelujah to Father/Son/HolySpirit!
