CELEBRATE RECOVERY offers a safe place with safe people to help you recover from your ‘hurts, habits and hang ups’. We live in a time when lots of people carry serious damage in their lives – because of past mistakes, but sometimes through no fault of their own. Often, deep issues in life can leave us feeling there is nowhere to turn for help, understanding or support. If this is you, THERE IS HOPE! This 12 step Christ centred recovery program is open to everyone, whatever you may need to recover from. What is Celebrate Recovery? Celebrate Recovery offers the opportunity of a fresh start, new hope, on-going support and encouragement to both men and women who are ‘recovering’ from hurts, habits and hang ups. Whilst each group member is at a different stage in their journey, they share a common desire to find peace and healing and a recognition that they cannot ‘fix’ themselves. What does a Celebrate Recovery meeting look like? The meeting starts with everyone together for 3045 minutes. The 12 steps of recovery are read and the principle for that evening is discussed, worked through and applied to each individual’s reason for attending. After this we break up into share groups and end the evening with refreshments. Each week is designed to equip you to take the next step on your journey.

What is a share group? A share group provides a safe place to be heard and to share your journey. It is an opportunity to build relationships, so that you don’t need to do it on your own anymore – a share group helps to keep you on track. Each share group has a leader who understands the journey of recovery as they too are on a journey of their own. Share groups are there to support each other and are totally confidential; they are always gender specific and are sometimes recovery specific. How often do you meet and how long are the meetings? We meet each Monday evening at 7.15pm for refreshments and start at 7:30pm. We aim to finish with coffee at 9.30pm How do I join and how much does it cost? Celebrate Recovery is ABSOLUTELY FREE. To join a course or to find out more, please telephone 01704 535989 or sign up online.

“Celebrate Recovery is a very encouraging evening. You can be yourself - be real - because of the confidentiality within the group. Your self esteem is built up, friendships develop and grow and you get things into perspective.” “When I was asked if I wanted to join Celebrate Recovery I said yes even though I didn’t really think it was for me, and what a great decision I made. I haven’t looked back.” “This 12 step programme has helped me to understand my own hurts, habits and hang ups and to work through with others, growing both personally and spiritually in the process. The results have been life changing. I would recommend it to anyone.”
