Quick Marketing Package 101 Step 1: NEWSLETTER. In our Southpointe /Marcellus Shale Newsletter, we interview, edit and print a one page article on your company with pictures.

Step 2: MAILOUTS. The Southpointe Chamber will mail the newsletter to more than 200 companies in Southpointe. May also be hand delivered or e-mailed.

Step 3: BREAKFAST. We plan and coordinate a breakfast (or brunch/lunch) for you to host a networking event with around 50 to 75 company executives in Southpointe. Note: This step is shared with 3 other companies for cost-effectiveness.

Introducing the Southpointe Chamber of Commerce Board Members As Founder and Executive Director of the Southpointe Chamber of Commerce, I have had many opportunities to meet leaders in the Southpointe community. When I look at our Board of Advisors, I realize that this is truly a group of professionals who have managed to stay grounded with traditional values throughout recent years of economic challenges and compromising events. Starting from left to right, I’d like to introduce myself and our Board of Advisors.

I, Don Hodor, am pictured on the far left. Since I have founded the Southpointe Chamber, these Advisors have been with us: Dale Risker, Karl Skrypak and Lou Gadani have been with us. New on board are Terry Caldwell and Jim McDonald, although I have known them for about a decade. This group also serves as the Marcellus Shale Chamber Board of Advisors.

Next to me is Terry Caldwell. Terry has been doing our map directory for over 7 years, and now the recent Southpointe Magazine! He comes to us with about 25 years of successful sales and marketing experience. We are very glad to have him on our team. Next to Terry is Lou Gadani. Lou has been a Canonsburg-based family man who has taken the time to have weekly breakfast with me and go over materials and provide guidance. If you need to locate someone, Lou has a database in his head of who is ‘on first’ in this county. Also, if you need marketing products, Lou is your connection. Next to Lou is Karl Skrypak. I met Karl more than 25 years ago as we shared Board Membership with the Washington County Chamber of Commerce. At the time, I was President, and Karl’s input was always valued over the years. Karl retired from Consol Energy after 28 years and is now Counselor with Robinson & McElwee, PLLC. Next to Karl is Dale Risker. As our Chamber President for the past 3 years, Dale and I have enjoyed the daily events that have ultimately led to the growth of the Southpointe Chamber, and now, hopefully, the Marcellus Shale Chamber. Dale and I connect several times a week as we discuss ideas, events, opportunities and vision for both Chambers. On the far right is Jim McDonald. Jim is President of Monaloh Basin Engineers, a Civil Engineering Firm located in Pittsburgh. Jim has been on the Washington County Council of Economic Development with me for over 15 years. During that time, we have shared many memories ranging from celebrating successful golf outings to sharing sorrow over the demise of some of our local political leaders and businessmen. Jim’s advice has always been appreciated by the Southpointe Chamber. We are all excited to move forward into the next decade with all the potential harnessed by networking with each other and by sharing leads, ideas, sales and service through both Chambers.
