CANON MAC GRADUATE TO COMPETE IN WORLD LONG DRIVE CHAMPIONSHIP Aaron Mansfield, a Canon MacMillan graduate, has qualified for the upcoming Volvik World Long Drive Championship to be held at the WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma from August 31 to September 6, 2017. The competition will be broadcast on The Golf Channel. Aaron was born in Washington, PA and attended Canon Mac High School. After three years on the Varsity Golf Team he decided to play college golf for Waynesburg University. That only lasted one semester before Aaron decided to pursue long drive golf professionally. He attributed this transition to a chance encounter with Joe Shuba at a driving range in Eighty-Four, PA. Joe was already an accomplished long drive professional. Joe saw potential in Aaron and began to mentor and guide him through the early days of his career. With Joe as his inspiration Aaron moved consistently up the ranks of the World Long Drive profession. In 2012, he was LDA Player of the Year. Aaron has 2 top 5 finishes in the ReMax World Long Drive Championship and 4 LDA Pro tour wins. Communities Moving Forward Seeks Southpointe Involvement to Combat Heroin Epidemic By George DiLeo, President CMF

A little over two years ago before Thanksgiving, David Rhome, the Mayor of the Borough of Canonsburg, was observing some alarming statistics concerning the Borough. The Heroin epidemic was getting out of control in our community After a string of overdose deaths caused by Heroin, Mayor Rhome was despondent. It was time to do something different to battle this epidemic. In January of 2015 Mayor Rhome, after conferring with active civic-minded citizens, created the grass-roots service organization, Communities Moving Forward. Last year, 2016, over 100 of our residents suffered a fatal overdose in Washington County. We are one of the top five counties with fatalities of drug addiction in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. As an organization, Communities Moving Forward, (CMF), recognizes there is a void needing to be filled to prevent this epidemic from spreading further. So CMF decided on a major goal and that would be to open a 5-10,000sq foot Social Center, to act as a safe haven for those recovering from drug addiction. We envision a place, not only of refuge, but of training, socialization and education in a Christ-like environment of peace and love. However, CMFâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s initial goal is to open a quaint Coffee Shop in Downtown Canonsburg that will serve the public and help make the group self-reliant and not totally dependent on donations. CMF has also partnered with the Canonsburg-Houston Ministerium to help make this endeavor a success and to bring a Godly influence into the battle of addiction.

More recently, CMF has garnered the help and input of Don Hodor, & the Southpointe Chamber of Commerce, to get involved with our cause. Our goal is to tap into the resources of Southpointe, not only for funding needs, but help in organizing, teaching, and training staff and those in recovery and related civic services. It is time for all of us to get together and take on this epidemic that is ravaging our communities. According to bank President and CEO Neil Bassi, a market study of Southwestern Pennsylvania revealed the Route I-79 corridor as the most promising area with Southpointe at the center of development for business and residential growth. Bassi also stated, "Proximity to highly populated businesses, increase in housing starts, growth in retail, and the proximity to the Pittsburgh metro area made Southpointe the clear choice for this project."

Timing played a crucial role to determine a location. Within two weeks of their strategic planning meeting, cfsbank received a call from Rich Barcelona at Bailey Technical Services.
