Highlight

Thanks to all who participated in the 2016 Racetrack Road Trade Show This year, we moved the Racetrack Road Business Association Trade Show to the Meadows Casino on Racetrack Road. The casino constructed the new community tent this year, giving us the first opportunity to try out the new venue. The large size and easy access allowed us the ability to bring Bowser Cadillac, John Sisson Mercedes, and South Hills Audi demo vehicles inside the show. We even had room for the 30 ft. Lincoln Stretch Limo from Quality Limousine Services. This year, the show was more focused on business-to-business rather than outside traffic. Many of our exhibitors left the show with good qualified leads. In addition, our corporate

sponsors were video recorded with interviews on new products and services. Interviews were conducted by Fulcrum Video Production.

New Cadillac CT6 Offers Youthful Design and Latest Tech Southpointe Chamber Executive Director, Don Hodor, Test Drives New 2017 Cadillac CT6 Some of the perks of publishing our magazine include some great opportunities that come up throughout the year. Recently, we were asked by Bowser Cadillac to test drive the all new CT6 Cadillac for this issue of the Southpointe Directory and Quarterly Report. When I arrived at the dealership, Jim Kostic introduced me to the new line consisting of ATS-V COUPE, ATS Coupe, ELR Coupe, ATS-V SEDAN, ATS Sedan, CTS-V SEDAN and the CTS Sedan. The latest, CT6 just rolled off the assembly line, and we had the honor of road testing this new addition to the Cadillac fleet.

As the new CT6 pulled up, I was immediately struck by the European styling and attention to youthful design created to appeal to a new generation. Upon entering the car,

my attention was drawn to the intricate leather craftsmanship. This looked like a European vehicle. The interior was two color leather that added a level of excitement. A far cry from the old bland black-on-black look from the past.

The neat feature was the digital display that is positioned at the top of the dash. The computer touch pad on the console was easy to operate, designed to keep your eyes on the road. The touch slide bar for radio volume was a plus. The digital display built into the mirror can be selected with a wide angle camera view of all lanes. This offered an option to record the last 90 minutes of your drive time, which would be great if you needed to recapture an accident. Of course it featured a 360 degree rooftop view when parking.

The glass roof was wall-to-wall giving you a convertible feel without the wind and elements. Half of the roof slides open.

Even the glove box is power assist. Performance was exceptional with 400+ HP twin turbo. It pulls you into the seat with each shift point.

I went into the test drive with memories of my grandfather's slow sluggish “land yacht” like the Sedan Deville, Fleetwoods, and El Dorados of the past but I was completely blown away with the new look and feel of the Cadillac CT6. Overall, the feel, handling and performance is a whole new benchmark for the US automobile industry and is exemplified with the CT6. Oh, a final plus is the Bose sound system. You will find yourself sitting in the driveway all evening just to experience the concert hall sound.
