CIN DY M U R R AY / F O R SO U T H M O U N T AIN PR E SS The heat wave this week saw area residents looking for ways to cool off, something no one thought they’d be saying just a few short weeks ago. This muskrat took to the water to beat the heat, taking the opportunity to have lunch in the process... how efficient! The warm, dry weather also gave farmers a chance to get back in the fields this week, looking to wrap up their spring plant.

serving 1,000 families. Virden Christmas Cheer received $961, serving 155 families. The Registry sourced its distribution list from its own records and a list of food banks provided by Prairie Mountain Health. The funding comes at a critical time.
