Special Awards
Champions and Reserve Champions for each level as listed below (minimum 3 riders for Championships prizes; less than three, ribbons awarded only). Categories offered for the BC DRESSAGE CHAMPIONSHIPS will be Junior, Amateur and Open. Championships will be awarded for Junior, Adult Amateur, and Open categories with minimum of 3 competitors per division. Divisions may be combined.
The Championships Awards can be picked up from the Show Office on Sunday afternoon shortly after the final class of the day. See next page for awards details.

Introductory to Fourth Level

Introductory to Fourth Level: Awarded based on the combined total of the top 2 percentage technical scores from the designated Championship (C) Classes (scores Test 2 & Test 3).
Western Dressage: Awarded based on the combined total of the top 2 percentage technical scores from the designated Championship (C) Classes (scores Test 2 & Test 3).
FEI Youth (Child, Pony, Junior or Young Rider): Awarded based on the combined total of top 2 percentage technical scores, 1 Individual and 1 Team from the designated Championship (C) Classes.
FEI Small Tour - Amateur/Open: Awarded based on the combined top 2 percentage technical scores of Prix St Georges and Intermediate I from the Championship Classes.
FEI Medium Tour - Open: Awarded based on the combined top 2 percentage technical scores of Open Intermediate A and Open Intermediate B from the Championship (C) Classes.
FEI Big Tour - Open: Awarded based on the combined top 2 percentage technical scores of Open Grand Prix, and Open Grand Prix Special designated Championship (C) Classes.
FEI Para Equestrian: Combined scores from both Championship (C) Classes. Team and Individual count towards championships.
Championships and Reserve Championships will be awarded once they are confirmed and posted on the scoreboard on Sunday after last class is finished. Competitors leaving show grounds prior to posting awards will forfeit all Championship Awards. Competitors leaving grounds may designate another individual to collect Championship Awards on their behalf prior to leaving grounds. Any decisions regarding Championship Results not specified herein the Prize List, which may result in a decision or ruling, will be at the sole discretion of the Show Manager and Show Committee.
The Fine Print
The percentages obtained by each competitor in both “C” (Championship) tests shall be totalled. The competitor with the highest total will be named champion. The competitor with the second highest total shall be declared the reserve champion. Categories offered for the BC DRESSAGE CHAMPIONSHIPS will be Junior, Amateur and Open. Championships will be awarded for Junior, Adult Amateur, and Open categories with minimum of 3 competitors per division. Divisions may be combined. Any test that receives a score of less than 50% on a technical test will not be eligible for any class awards, championships or reserve championships.
PLEASE NOTE: No Minimum number of tests required - riders must enter the two (2) Championships Classes to be eligible. In this Championship Show NO whips (sibject to compensating aids for para dressage riders (E4.8.2, E6.11.3) and callers are allowed in the Championship (C) Classes. Show rings will be open for schooling each day after last class is finished (schooling horses only).
The rider is responsible for their own errors and those of their agents in the completion of their entry forms.
