Your tutor will be available to discuss your progress and assessments in order to set you challenging but achievable targets, and will help ensure the best possible outcomes for you and your future.

Financial Support

As a sixth form student you will have access to a range of financial support depending on your circumstances.

Bus transport for Sixth From students is subsidised. To take advantage of these rates you need to buy either a bus pass or bus vouchers from our finance office. You might also qualify for a bursary, which helps those most in need with travel and equipment costs, or you could also apply for one-off support payments.

Educational Visits

Trips and visits will also play a big part in your sixth form learning and no matter what courses you study, you are sure to find yourself somewhere exciting to help you gain as much as you can from your chosen subjects.

Trips to New York, Germany and Poland are all included in our sixth form calendar plus there are also plenty of theatre trips, art exhibitions and university visits for you to take part in. These often link to your studies, but also allow you to broaden your horizons and share new experiences with your friends.

The Changemakers

At South Hunsley Sixth Form we are committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion throughout our practice and creating a safe inclusive environment for all our students.

Students have numerous platforms to share their perspectives on school issues and issues impacting their lives. We have a collaborative working group named the Change Makers who work to support the effective development and implementation of our school’s equality, diversity and inclusion strategy. The Change Makers champion equality, diversity and inclusion throughout the school and lead on the organisation of recognising a mixture of religious festivals as well as equality, diversity inclusion related events and key awareness dates.
