a note from Vicky WINTER 2021

The new year is always a time of reflection and anticipation for what lies ahead. In many ways, this year is the same, yet in so many ways it’s so very different. Covid continues to keep us close to home—there are no vacations or big trips to plan, concerts and events continue to be cancelled, childrens’ sports and activities are limited, and we have all retreated to our homes. Home has never been more important.

The greatest joy we’ve received this past year are from the thoughtful notes and photos from clients who have been enjoying their homes during quarantine. The photos of children homeschooling and adults adapting to our new WFH world come with humor and bring a smile to our team every time. It comes without surprise that as our homes are working hard for us, the mishaps are abundant, too (like the new puppy that chewed the sofa pillows). These notes and messages are why we do what we do—we spend our days striving to bring beauty and comfort to families in their most personal spaces.

In this issue of Style + Source, our first of 2021, we wanted to focus on the spaces that have been working so hard lately—the home offices, laundry rooms, bathrooms, and bedrooms. They are usually not the first spaces in a home that receive attention, but when welldesigned, they are some of the spaces that make our clients the happiest. Our team has scoured our sources to share with you, our favorite clients and friends, so you have our permission to click and shop away! As we settle in for the long winter season, take time to create those special spaces in your own home.

Anyone who knows me well, knows that I am always looking ahead, planning, strategizing, and setting goals. This year is a little different. We still have big ideas and plans, but we will tackle them a little slower and allow ourselves a little more grace. We want to enjoy our clients and enjoy each other. Our mission to bring beauty into this world has not changed – we are more committed than ever before to make a difference in the lives we touch.
