Q. Hey everyone it’s ya boy Darren Southern Plug Brown, here with a mega Southern Plug Exclusive. Introducing to some the artist known as Rick Marine. So, tell our readers that may not be familiar with you or your work just who you are and what it is that you do exactly.

A. My name is Rick Marine, song writer, artist from Tucson, Az & York, PA.

 

Q. So, what inspired you to start your journey into hip-hop?

A. I have always had a talent and a passion for music. my inspirations were my stepfather and just the sound the feel and the vibe of music that is very therapeutic.

 

Q. How and when did you coin your name Rick Marine and how do you feel that it fits you?

A. My name is my name lol! Wanted something real, authentic, no additives you know!

 

Q. Do you have any upcoming projects?

A. Working on my album, called “Overdue”. Which is coming this summer 2024!!!

 

Q. What would you say is the quote-on-quote secret recipe for your success?

A. Go hard, believe in yourself and the rest will come

 

Q. What is your favorite part about being a rapper?

A. Being relatable.

 

Q. What's next for you? Any new ventures you want to spill tea on?

A. Movies, and food. A lot of people don’t know that I’m also a chef so you can most defiantly be on the look out for my food truck which is coming soon as well!

 

Q. Is there something in specific that you want people to know about you or your music?

A. I’m not one that’s into the cap rap you know! So, everything that I say on the mic is real life & relatable.

 

 

 

 

Q. What advice would you give those wanting to start their journey in your field?

A. My best advice would be “Dont give up”! There’s always going to naysayers or people that are not willing to step out to do what you are trying to do and are going to have something negative to say but it’s very important to know that if you are the one with vision then you are the one that can’t give up.

 

Q. Who or what  would you say is your biggest inspiration and why?

A. My inspiration I would have to say is my stepfather. He introduced me to all the good music that I grew up on. The music that so influences my sound till this day.

 

Q. Ok we do this every interview! What creatives would you absolutely die to work with?

A. I just love to work, I absolutely love what I do. So, with that being said, anyone who’s willing to work with me hit me up. Big or small, it doesn’t matter. I just love making iconic unforgettable music.
