18Veno’s Murderer Sentenced To A Heartbreaking 12 Years in SC Court A former Rock Hill high school basketball star charged with murder in the shooting death of a South Carolina rap artist 18Veno testified Friday that he was robbed and shot during the killing. But he also admitted that he repeatedly lied to police because it happened during a drug deal. Prosecutors said 18veno was the target of the drug deal robbery by McCollough. McCollough said 4

he needed marijuana on but his regular connect for drugs was unavailable. He found another person through Snapchat selling marijuana. “I saw somebody named Veno who had a weed strain I love called Cherry Pie,” Veno told McCollough through social media he only sells pounds or more, McCollough said. McCollough said he met Veno outside a Rock Hill home. When Veno arrived by car, McCollough said he got in the back seat behind Veno in the driver’s seat. Harts introduced himself as Veno. Another person was with Veno, Khalil Robinson in the passenger seat. McCollough said he had handed $900 to Robinson for the bag of marijuana.

Veno wanted $250 more and McCollough said as he was pulling more money out of his pocket, Veno and Robinson both pointed guns at him.Robinson got out of the car and dropped his gun on the ground, McCollough said. As Veno was looking at Robinson, McCollough said he grabbed Veno’s wrist and disarmed him

CAROLINA’S RISING STAR Stunna 4 Vegas is a North Carolina rapper with a brusk, antagonistic approach influenced by fellow Southerners such as T.I. and Gucci Mane. Within a few years, he went from an aspiring teenaged MC to a respected underground figure to a major-label signee. After he built up a sizeable discography of mixtapes and stray tracks, and linked up with DaBaby on the single "Animal," Stunna made his commercial full-length debut with Big 4x (2019), and soon thereafter cracked the Top 30 of the Billboard 200 with Rich Youngin (2020).

Born Khalick Caldwell, Stunna started rapping during his last year of high school in his native Salisbury, a city between Winston-Salem and Charlotte. As simply Stunna, he made small strides independently with releases including 4 Way or No Way and Stunna Season 2. Later in 2018, he sought DaBaby for a guest verse on the single "Animal" and subsequently signed with the emergent Charlotte artist's Billion Dollar Baby label. Stunna and DaBaby continued to record together, and they both eventually landed major-label deals with Interscope.

In May 2019, Stunna made his Interscope debut with the full-length Big 4x. A number 50 entry on the Billboard 200, the album featured DaBaby on "Ashley" and "Sticks," Offset on "4th of July," Lil Durk on "Durkio," and additional collaborations with NLE Choppa and Young Nudy. Stunna returned only eight months later with 2020's Rich Youngin. It reached number 29, supported by verses from DaBaby and Lil Baby on the lead track "Do Dat."

“As A Little Girl…..I Was Scared To Sing”

FALL IN LOVE AGAIN WITH OKLAHOMA’S FAVORITE SONGSTRESS

My name is Shalonda aka Shonda. I’m a country girl who was raised in a small town called Boynton Oklahoma. I grew up in a large family full of talented singers on both my mom and dad’s side of the family. I remember as a little girl how my father would make me get up in church and sing, and I’d cry because I was not only afraid, but I hated to sing. From there I would perform in school talent shows, and I’d also get invited to sing at church programs, banquets and weddings. When I became a teen, myself and some of my cousins started a gospel group called “Cousins In Christ”. We traveled all over the world singing and performing on many stages, and churches and even had the opportunity to perform at the famous Apollo Theater where we shared the stage with celebrities, and other great talented artists. Our group continued for over 20 years. As we grew older, got married, and started our own families the group sort of fell apart. The gift of singing never stopped with me, I continued to write music and sing on and off social media just for entertainment and also blessed to touch someone who may have been going through a tough time, and by them hearing my music it would help them along their way!

Many didn’t know that all while trying to encourage the next person, I too had faced many hard times, and battles myself. I was in an abusive marriage, that stripped me down in every way anyone could possibly think. Imagine being in love with someone whom you thought was supposed to love you back, but instead you were not only physically abused, but verbally, mentally and emotionally as well. Walking around day to day, and getting up to minister in song while trying to hide your bruises, pain and scars behind a smile. Having your confidence torn down so bad that you started to believe the ugly things the man you loved so much would say to you. And also during this marriage I lost a child and this took me to a place I never ever wanted to be mentally! While in that storm, I was also dealing with a diagnosis of kidney failure, but one day it all became TOO MUCH! I attempted to take my life, but GOD SAID NO! When that didn’t work I had to make a choice to save me and my children, or stay and allow him to end my life for me. I filed for divorce and after 2 years of healing I found myself in another situation that I promised myself I would never go through again… I had another child from this relationship and during my pregnancy my kidney disease took a turn for the worst! When I was about 4 months pregnant my kidney function had gotten so bad that I had to begin dialysis. My unborn child began to also have issues from my sickness and the treatments which caused her to be born at only 24 weeks. The drs gave the worst prognosis about her outcome, yes I had to watch my child be brought back to life BUT GOD said different, after several months in the NICU shes alive and healthy today (but that’s another story ill tell you about one day) I still had to do dialysis after her birth, and after those long, dreadful, three days a week sickening treatments, God blessed me to receive a kidney in July 2019! It was a long recovery but because of his everlasting grace and mercy, I am alive and feeling great! Here I was recovering, getting my mental health back on track and back single again. But this time, I told myself I would die a single woman, cause honey you couldn’t pay me to go through anymore heartache NO MAM! They say God has a sense of humor and I can actually agree, because he sent this man my way, I ignored him at first, but this one was very persistent. We began conversing, which lead to hours and hours of phone conversations, to finally having our first date. I still had my guards up and all the while praying for guidance. God knew I couldn’t stand another failed relationship! This man was different, he prays with me and for me, he caters to every single need and want! I had never experienced this in a relationship. I thought WOW, someone actually reciprocates the same love back to me as I show him! Well after a year and a half he proposed and we are soon to become One! Im telling you all of that to say this, Sometimes we give up before God is done writing our story! Had I stayed in my marriage, or my other relationship, or if the suicide attempt had worked, I wouldn’t have been able to witness “Falling In Love Again”. My song was inspired by bad relationships, giving up, and then finding TRUE LOVE! Its ok to start over as many times as it takes, but be patient and God will send you that special person that was created just for you! I pray this song touches you in some way. Some will find that you can relate, but some you may find that its just good ol’ rnb that will speak to your soul! Q. Its your boy Darren here with the lovely Sierra Channelle, so let's jump right in. So, what took you so long to work with Southern Plug, what you dont like southern plugs?

A. So I’m new to Columbia and honestly I’m shy lol. But I do love the the fact that this magazine is black ran and supports all kinds of black owned businesses and the Artist. That makes me so happy to see our people supporting each other Q. What's new with Sierra Channelle?

A. So since moving here I have launched my new Business Channelle’s Artistry I a Certified Makeup artist and will be a licensed cosmetologist by the end of 2022 Q. Do you consider yourself a BBW? A. I sure do consider myself BBW woman and PROUD OF IT!!!!

Q.What does the word BBW mean to you?

A. Bountiful bodacious woman Q. Liaos Ribero or Ashley Grahm, and why?

A. Ashley Graham because she’s a very humble person if you follow her on Instagram she’s really down to earth but can command a room in two seconds.

Q.So you are a contestant for the crown of Miss Plus Size SC, is that correct?

A. Yes sir I am Q. So, what sets you apart from the other beautiful contestants in this race?

A. So I’ll start by saying that I enjoy every contestant that I’ve met so far and they’re very great people. What sets me apart I’m very different I’m very unorthodox I like to think outside the box when it comes to my outfit hair make up everything has to be different which I think makes me stand out how many people do you see walking around with teal hair lol.

Q. What is the biggest obstacle you have had to face as an independent model or even why preparing for the oagent even?

A. My biggest obstacle is that my mother isn’t here to see the woman I’ve become she’s with me in spirit. But I always have a moment before any event or engagement that I wish I could pick up the phone and call her or hear her voice and give me that comfort.

Q. What advice would you give a young lady hoping to break into the exciting world of modeling & pageantry?

A. My first piece of advice would be follow God God has giving me this opportunity and has blessed me with opportunities to advocate for my Plus size young girls. And then also have fun while doing it be responsible but enjoy it.

Q. Give me one word that best sums Sierra Channelle?

Dead Rose Records was initially created in 2005 not only as a Techno record label but also as a springboard for releasing different styles of electronic music ranging from Dub Techno, Ambient, Drone, IDM to more classic and comtemporary Techno. Dead Rose currently has 2 sub record labels Dark Rose and White rose Records. Dark rose is dedicated to the DJ and to the dancefloor underpinning a wide variety of sounds spanning from more minimalistic DJ tools to much more complex, defined and resounding techno. White Rose on the other hand was born out of the idea of presenting and showing off a more conceptual and experimantal side to the label, whose music could be used as much in a club by DJs as well as by individuals in a more everyday context and environment. We have recently established a booking agency with the end goal of being able to transmit and share the music of our select group of artists with clubs, promotors and events all over the world.
