GloRilla 2023 Tour Dates:
Many artist struggle to establish their musical identity, laboriously trying on different musical styles like a pair of shoes, looking to find which suits best. But there are others that emerge fully formed, in full command of their craft, their identity and their music. Jigg Nevamind (born Jonathan Lindsay on June 7, 1991) fits firmly in the latter category after consistently working to find his niche. His image and personality is a captivating and moving soul that heralds the arrival of a gifted and significant new talent, one whose music feels familiar in the best way possible. South Carolina native Jigg Nevamind who grew up in small town of Batesburg-Leesville, always had a secret passion for music but was always too shy to own up to it. Therefore he didn’t really begin to take music seriously until his middle teen years. He explains, “I started off writing remixes to well known songs in my own version, changing the lyrics around fully but maintaining the same melody and vibe. Itwas from here I decided to find original beats and began to record over them. Honestly I wasn’t interested in anything else I was doing other than music. The baseball and basketball professional dreams were fading”.Starting off recording in the closest of a home studio like most, he began to record songs and eventually began to release them around his area and digitally also. Nevamind began to notice the genuine reaction and this made him fall in love with music even more and as his name grew in and around the small town and collaborating with other artist around the South Carolina area, the pieces began to fall into place for Jigg Nevamind. He began being booked for shows in clubs thathe was even too young to get into. This sparked a hit single that came about entitled Underage which he sang about being tired of being underage and wanting to “kick itwith the oldheads”.Nowthathe is older the freedomhas allowed Jigg Nevamind to advance his solo career in the direction where he visualizes. Hehaslinked upwith manylocal and global producers aswell as well known artists to allow himself to build a solid resume. From here, Nevamind plans to keep doing what he knows best and continue his aspirations to become one of the besthiphop artists in the country.
Southern Plug Exclusive. Introducing to some, Ms. Kristin Marielii . So, Kristin tell our readers that may not be familiar with you how went viral exactly?
A. Ok so the story behind the pic, I went to the vikings/eagles game alone, which i do often. sitting to the right of me were 3 individuals from VA. during halftime I asked one of the guys to take a pic of me looking onto the field. he took several, i looked at them and did not like any of them and just said forget. so the following night i was looking thru the pics trying to find the one i felt i looked the best(never once did i pay attention to the guy in the background) so i saw one i was like “ok this is ok” posted it to my twitter with the caption “fly eagles fly” i think that night it was starting to pick up but i didnt pay attention. i think the guy in the background is what really makes the pic. if it wasnt for the assumption of him looking at me, then im sure that would have been just like any other pic i posted on twitter lol
Q. When did you notice that your post had went viral and what was your immediate reaction?
A. I noticed the pic started to go viral the next afternoon when i woke up to my phone blowing up, texts, missed calls, FB, IG, and twitter. i laughed and just thought “this is crazy” but nothing suprises me in the world of social media
Q. How has your life changed since your viral photo?
A. Really just the social media attention. a little pressure knowing i have a bigger audience watching what i do and say on twitter and IG.
Q. So I see that you are a personal yoga teacher. How has going viral affected your business?
A. I have had a few people hit me up to become clients but nothing has happened yet. being a yoga teacher isnt my career. i am also a respiratory therapist.
Q. We both know our readers want to know is there a special someone in your life?
A. No there is not! and for now i would like to keep it that way. its way more peaceful. lol
Q. Well I know that the thirsty guys have been flooding your dms, how have you been dealing with all of the provocative attention that has come from the post?
A. Its been very interesting and at times overwhelming. i have had some wild DMs, mostly positive and some negative.
Q. How has that affected your love life?
A.Trust me there is no love life for it to affect. ive had a lot of date offers. but for the most part, im chillin.
Q. Is there any other venture of yours that you’d like to promote?
A. For now, no. i do not have an only fans. ive thought about it tho. stay tuned.
Q. So, what inspired you to start your journey as an yoga instructor?
A. I wanted to deepen my own yoga practice so i decided to become a teacher. i used to teach classes but that stopped once the studio closed down. so i started to work one on one with a few athletes/friends and it was fun. so thats what i do for now on the side until i decide to teach in a classroom setting again.
Q. What is your favorite part about all of this happening?
A. I've met some cool people and the eagles have gained some new fans lol

He has shared the stage with the likes of Lecrae, Kirk Franklin, Fantasia, Ruben Studdard, Andy Mineo, Canton Jones, Swoope, Boyz II Men, Dr. Bobby Jones, and a host of other artists, speakers, and entertainers. With the release of his debut album, “the.next.level.”, (2004), big AL began experiencing fulfillment of the promises of God. His release of two mixtapes –“4106.Mixtape” and “Son of Jor-EL: Mixtape Vol. 2”, big AL grabbed the attention of industry heavyweights. The single, Back Man, caught the attention of Dr. Bobby Jones, who then sought big AL to appear on his Word Network and Gospel Music Channel shows. The popularity of the song pushed big AL to make an incredibly unique video that garnered big AL a top-six finish of Gospel Music Channels Video Music Awards (Christian Hip-Hop) in 2009. Big AL released his sophomore LP, “The Opening Act” (2008), to high anticipation and rave reviews. The album spawned a nationally-recognized hit, “Rest of My Days (featuring Canton Jones)”, an urban up-tempo ballad about praising the Lord through any circumstance. In 2009, big AL was nominated for three “Rhythm of Gospel Awards”: Holy Hip-Hop Album of the Year, Holy Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, and Holy Hip-Hop Song of the Year, of which he won Album of the Year and Artist of the Year. It also garnered big AL 2010 Stellar Awards, first-round balloting, and the same in the 2011 GMA Dove Awards. 2011 would witness the release of big AL’s third, full-length LP, “The Balancing Act”. Full of great production and amazing dance songs, there was not stopping what big AL had begun. The single, “B.F.F.”, would garner a following of listeners who would start to ask big AL to “sing more”, and its accompanying video would rock the internet and make the song a huge hit! The birth of a collaborative project with one of his best friends, gospel producer/artist, Claude Deuce, would release and garner attention from both genres in 2013! “Super Friends” was/is as epic and ‘heroic’ as the title suggests. After a long thought of what’s next in life, Al Power927.FM–launched, terrestrially and on the internet! It is the first, full-power FM terrestrial positive Hip-Hop and R&B radio station in the country. big AL was named and currently serves as the Brand Advancement Director (Program Director, Station Manager, and Morning Show Host); and the station has made significant progress in a short amount of time! At the same time, big AL continued to feel the desire to get in the studio and finally in 2015, he stepped back in the studio to record his most incredible and compelling project to-date, “Leaving Metropolis”. “Leaving Metropolis” is full of songs that, again, showcase big AL’s willingness to be vulnerable on record by transparently sharing what life has thrown and is throwing at him. Soliciting production and features from the likes of B. Slade, Black Knight, Claude Deuce, Big Juice, and Naomi Holder, big AL left no stone unturned as he offered his most intimate piece of art! The lead single, “Fly”, has received rave reviews, along with the video produced/shot by Ben Boutwell of Creative Insomniacs!! Big AL is currently traveling throughout the country, and abroad, performing and speaking to all ages, all races, and all denominations! Whether sharing his story, performing songs, entertaining an audience, and/or preaching the Gospel, big AL definitely shares the message of love…the message of hope…the message of peace…the message of Jesus Christ – like no one else!!
