Sheriff’s Office – Detention Center Program Coordinator
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office is looking to fill a full-time Detention Center Program Coordinator. The Detention Center Program Coordinator is a protective service employee (PREA Coordinator) responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating mandatory and discretionary programs in accordance with the procedures established by the Detention Center Administrator, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Minnesota Department of Corrections and the Prison Rape Elimination Act’s mandatory requirements and statutes that address religious, social, recreational, educational, vocation and safety needs of inmates/ detainees.

The Family Home Visitor performs paraprofessional services to client families with children from prenatal to preschool and/or kindergarten entrance identified through screening and assessment to have some parenting risk factors. Works with families to promote positive functional and healthy family relationships and assist families in becoming self-sufficient. This position has a part in implementing the required Local Public Health Activities that are organized according to the following areas: assure an adequate public health infrastructure; promote healthy communities and healthy behavior; prevent the spread of infectious disease; protect against environmental health hazards; prepare for and respond to disasters and assist communities in recovery; and assure the quality and accessibility of health services.
