Bridge to be replaced
The Lauderdale Drive Bridge, also known as the Deakin Isle Bridge, which goes over Green Lake in the Town of La Grange, needs to be replaced. The town held an open house meeting last month that included a brief presentation and allowed the public to provide input and ask questions about the project. Dollar General store open for business

ollar General recently announced its store at W5163 County Road A in Elkhorn is now open. Store hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a
week. The store aims to provide area residents with an affordable and convenient store location to purchase household essentials including food, cleaning supplies, paper products, over-the-counter medicines, hygiene products, baby items and more. Dollar General sells products from a variety of manufacturers such as Clorox, Energizer, Procter & Gamble, Hanes, Coca-Cola, Mars, Unilever, Nestle, KimberlyClark, Kellogg’s, General Mills, and PepsiCo. In addition to those along with private branded products, the Elkhorn store includes the company’s new home décor and an expanded party preparation selection. “At Dollar General, we believe the addition of each new store provides positive economic growth for the communities we proudly serve, and the addition of our new Elkhorn store highlights our commitment to deliver a pleasant shopping experience that includes great prices on quality products in a convenient location,” said Dan Nieser, Dollar General’s senior vice president of real estate and store development. “We look forward to welcoming customers to our new store and hope they will enjoy shopping at our new location,” he added.

To commemorate the opening of the new store, Dollar General plans to donate 100 new books to a nearby elementary school to benefit students ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade. Through the partnership with the Kellogg Company, the donation will be part of a planned donation of more than 100,000 books across the country to celebrate new store openings.
