Court blotter The following people were charged with these Class H and I and unclassified felony offenses between Jan. 23 and Feb. 6:

Class H Class H, punishable by up to six years in prison and $10,000 in fines: Bail jumping • Francisco J. Herrera, 31, of Milwaukee; felony bail jumping; felony retail theft, intentionally take $500 to $5,000; possession of narcotic drugs; possession of an illegally obtained prescription; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

While under bond conditions on a prior charge of felony retail theft in Milwaukee County, Herrera allegedly stole $1,535.99 worth of Milwaukee tool sets and saw blades from Fleet Farm in Delavan on Jan. 29. When he was pulled over on Interstate 43 in the Town of Lafayette in connection with the theft, Herrera admitting using heroin and was found with prescription drugs including suboxone and multiple items of drug paraphernalia including a plastic straw that contained heroin, according to the complaint.

• Hector Luis Miranda Jr., 32, of Delavan; felony bail jumping and possession of narcotic drugs. While under bond conditions on charges of possession of narcotic drugs and disorderly conduct with a condition that he does not possess or use illegal drugs, Miranda was found with syringes that contained heroin and heroin paraphernalia during a traffic stop in Delavan on Feb. 1, according to the criminal complaint.

• Bonita G. Jenks, 37, of Sun Prairie; felony bail jumping and obstructing an officer. While under bond conditions on Jef-

ferson County charges of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, Jenks was with her friend who overdosed in Whitewater on Sept. 4 and changed her story to police multiple times about what happened to her friend and where she got the drugs, according to the complaint.

• Andrew R. Abramski, 40, of Wind Lake; felony bail jumping and threatening injury or harm through a computer message. While under bond conditions on charges of strangulation, battery and disorderly conduct, Abramski sent multiple text messages to the plant manager at his former employer, Precision Casting Corp., in the Town of East Troy, that made reference to rounds of ammunition and the number 666, which he knew the plant manager had an aversion to, according to the complaint.

Fleeing • Jeffrey Aaron Neal, 30, of Lake Geneva; attempting to flee or elude an officer. Neal allegedly fled from Town of Bloomfield police at Park and Clover roads for .2 miles at 30 mph on Jan. 11, pulled into the parking lot of the Upper Crust Restaurant and then fled on foot into the restaurant and across traffic. He later turned himself in, the complaint states.

Theft • Donte R. Brown, 30, of Charleston, S.C.; felony retail theft, intentionally take $500 to $5,000. Brown is suspected of stealing $1,374 worth of items from Walmart in Lake Geneva on July 13 by distracting the clerk and pushing the cash tender button on the cash register, according to the criminal complaint.

• Michael V. Gonzales, 34, of Milwaukee; felony retail theft, intentionally take $500 to $5,000 as a party to a crime.

Gonzales is suspected of driving Francisco Herrera to Delavan to shoplift from Fleet Farm, waiting for Herrera in the parking lot and driving away after Herrera loaded more than $1,500 in

Drugs • Hector Luis Miranda Jr., 32, of Delavan; manufacture or deliver marijuana. According to the criminal complaint, Miranda sold .91 grams of marijuana during a controlled buy on Geneva Street in Delavan between Sept. 9 and 15.

Battery • Patrick J. Weingandt, 23, of Delavan; substantial battery and disorderly conduct.

Weingandt punched his friend in the face five times Jan. 9 at a Delavan apartment after his friend would not tell Weingandt who was calling on the friend’s phone, according to the complaint. The man lost consciousness and suffered significant trauma to his mouth and jaw, according to the complaint.

Terrorist threats • Dylan J. Schultz, 23, of Waukesha; terrorist threats, felony bail jumping and disorderly conduct, all as a repeater.

Schultz allegedly made threats to “shoot up” his place of employment, Lavelle Industries, in Whitewater, while under bond conditions on a Waukesha County charge of substantial battery with the use of a dangerous weapon.

Drunken mom asks 13-year-old to drive to store A status conference is scheduled for March 6 for a Richland Center woman who allegedly allowed her 13-year-old child to drive in Delavan because she was too drunk.

Becky M. Mahlum, 32, was charged Feb. 6 in Walworth County Circuit Court with second-degree recklessly endangering safety, contributing to the delinquency off a child and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a minor child in the vehicle.

According to the criminal complaint, Mahlum was intoxicated at her Prairie View Drive home in the Town of Delavan on Oct. 29 and asked her 13-year-old daughter if she wanted to learn to drive.

Mahlum’s children said she was “messed up” from drinking wine and wanted to go to the gas station to get cigarettes, the complaint states.

Mahlum asked the girl if she wanted to learn to drive, and the girl suggested they walk to the gas station but ultimately reluctantly agreed to drive, according to the complaint. Mahlum got into the passenger seat and told the girl she had put the vehicle in drive, but the vehicle was actually in reverse, and the girl backed into a parked car, the complaint states. Mahlum then drove to the gas station and told the girl not to tell anyone that she was drunk, according to the complaint.

Police were alerted when the girl’s 12-year-old sister confided in staff at Phoenix Middle School the next day.

Student allegedly selling multiple drugs in dorm An initial appearance was scheduled for Feb. 14 for an Appleton man found with multiple types of drugs in his University of Wisconsin-Whitewater dorm room.

Eli M. Jenn, 19, was charged Jan. 24 in Walworth County Circuit Court with possession with intent to deliver Schedule I controlled substances, possession with intent to deliver psilocin or psilocybin, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the criminal complaint, a resident assistant alerted police to the smell of marijuana in a Bigelow Hall dorm room at UW-Whitewater on Nov. 22. Police made contact with Jenn in the room, which he occupied, and found 6.8 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 1.2 grams of marijuana dabs, .1 grams of marijuana and 17.4 grams of ecstasy, according to the complaint. Jenn told police he got the “molly” on the dark web, and it was sent through the mail, according to the complaint. He said he sells the drugs to about 60 different people, the complaint states.

Man charged with enticing, assaulting girl A Lake Geneva man was scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 20 on charges of beating, sexually assaulting and enticing a 16-year-old girl.

Hector C. Aranda, 19, was charged Jan. 28 in Walworth County Circuit Court with three counts of felony bail jumping,

misdemeanor battery, two counts of child enticement and strangulation and suffocation.

According to the criminal complaint, while under bond conditions on charges of bail jumping, disorderly conduct, false imprisonment, battery and contributing to truancy in three separate cases, Aranda had contact with the victim of those crimes. Police learned Jan. 18 of a sexual assault that occurred the previous day at Aranda’s Town of Bloomfield home, according to the complaint. An officer spoke to the 16-year-old victim who said since Aranda’s last arrest Dec. 26, she has seen him multiple times. On Jan. 1, she said, Aranda punched her, had to her on the ground and kicked her in the face several times during an argument, according to the complaint. The girl said Aranda’s parents witnessed the abuse, and his mother told her, “Couples fight, and it’s alright,” according to the complaint.

The girl said Aranda would text her and say he would kill himself if he did not see her, according to the complaint.

On Jan. 10, he texted her that message, picked her up and took her to his home, forced her onto his bed, choked her and had sexual intercourse with her while holding her down by the back of her hair and pulling it, according to the complaint.

On Jan. 17, Aranda again texted the girl that he would kill himself if he didn’t see her, took her to his home and had sexual intercourse with her while the girl cried, screamed and told him to stop, according to the complaint.
