Beloit College, Public Sculpture

A fine collection of public sculpture, including works by esteemed artist Siah Armajani and former professors Arnold Popinsky and O. Verne Shaffer, grace the Beloit College campus.

Beloit Civic Theater

Each season the Beloit Civic Theatre, a volunteer organization, presents a musical, a comedy and a mystery production. Performances are held at the Elizabeth Reinholz Theatre at Beloit Memorial High School.

Beloit Fine Arts Incubator

The Beloit Fine Arts Incubator houses a gallery, educational classroom and artists studios. Visitors are encouraged to stop by to view art, attend art show receptions, join the drum circle and attend a poetry night.

Beloit – Janesville Symphony Orchestra

For more than 50 years, the BeloitJanesville Symphony Orchestra has continued a tradition of great historic music and exciting guest artist. The group performs at Eaton Chapel on the Beloit College campus.

Cobblestone House/ Water Tower

Milwaukee Road, Clinton, Wis. – The Clinton Historical Society and the citizens of Clinton are very proud of our two most recognized historic structures – The Cobblestone House, built in 1849 by Alonzo Richardson for the Samuel S. Jones family and the limestone water tower built by masonry contractor Jacob Miller which went into operation in 1896. This is only one of two intact stone towers still in existence in Rock County.

Effigy Mounds

700 College St., Beloit

The Beloit College campus contains 23 conical, linear and animal-shaped effigy mounds built between 700 and 1200 by Native Americans.

Farmer’s Park located on Mill Street, south of Front Street, at the beginning of the Pelishek Nature Trail. The park includes a vault restroom and a gazebo.

Fisher Schoolhouse

Gert Wolter Park located on Shu-Lar Lane. Gert Wolter has bathrooms, a kitchen equipped with refrigerator, stove, and microwave, a pavillion with electrical outlets and picnic tables. For recreation there is playground equipment, horseshoe pits and a baseball field.

Hanchett-Bartlett Homestead

Providing a glimpse of the rural lifestyle in the 1800s, this 1875

Victorian farmstead features period furnishings, a smokehouse, a rural schoolhouse and a limestone barn.

Heldt Paulson Park is home to Clinton’s soccer fields. It also has a walking path, toddler playground equipment, and picnic tables. It is located on Cougar Lane.

Herb Reffue Park located just off Church and High Streets, next to Clinton’s Historic Water Tower. Herb Reffue Park includes port-a-potties, picnic tables, and a large pavilion with electrical outlets. For recreation there is playground equipment, a volleyball net, and basketball hoops. The Herb Reffue Park is also the home of Clinton’s Skateboard Park. Also home to the Sledding Hill!

Heritage Walkway
