Richard Bong State Recreation Area offers something for everyone. The vast array of possible activities includes: walking, running, bicycling, swimming, canoeing, fishing, camping, picnicking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or snowmobiling. There is also an area where visitors can fly hang gliders, ultra-light aircraft, hot air balloons, and model airplanes and rockets. Areas to train dogs or falcons, ride ATVs, go horseback riding, and hunt in season are also available.
