The Recovery College has had a fantastic start to the year. It has been lovely to welcome even more students to our growing number of face to face courses

We are happy to announce that our social media marketing has now returned. So keep an eye out for our upcoming courses, week by week

Mental Health First Aid Training

We are pleased to announce that all our staff have now completed the Mental Health First Aid Course This was a two day course where staff are trained as part of England's largest community of trained Mental Health First Aiders, with Mental Health

First Aid England

Both Kate Sault & Julia Arrigo Azzopardi are trained facilitators and delivered the training The course is aimed at gaining the knowledge and skills, to spot signs of people experiencing poor mental health. To be confident to start a conversation and signpost a person to appropriate support, whilst out in the community Page 1

The Recovery College are pleased to announce that Vicky May, an Associate Peer Trainer here at the college, is starting her new role as a Peer Trainer in April 2023 She started her journey in 2017 as a student and is now ecstatic to be a permanent member of our team!

Connecting With Creativity Course

During the Spring Term, we held a two day course called Connecting with Creativity. This course provides an opportunity to engage in practical creative exercise and experience the potential benefits of creativity on your mental health

Here follows, two pieces of work that a student, Neil T, has created during this course:

A Year of Growth Collage: On the course we were asked to create a piece of art depicting aspects of our recovery My collage, progressing from left to right, depicts my story
