K-TEE’S COTTAGE

Five Bedrooms, Four En Suite Baths, a 60-Game Arcade, and Golf Course

Views in Big Canoe

THE COMFORT COLLECTIVE

Be the First to Experience Our Newest Mountain Getaway

Welcome to K-Tee’s Cottage, a five-bedroom retreat inside the gated community of Big Canoe, Georgia, designed for groups of up to ten who want both privacy and plenty to do. Four of the five bedrooms include their own en suite bathrooms, a lower level built for long evenings offers a 60-game multiplayer arcade, an indoor putting green, and a dry bar, and a screened-in porch with sweeping golf course views gives everyone a reason to linger outside.

One hour north of Atlanta, this is the kind of property that takes care of the group without anyone having to think too hard about it.

GET THE MOST OUT OF SUMMER IN THE MOUNTAINS

North Georgia is particularly good at changing the plan.

You may head out intending to spend the day on the water, then spot a trail worth exploring on the drive over. Lunch in town turns into an afternoon of browsing shops. A quick stop at a vineyard stretches toward dinner because the view is good, the wine is cold, and no one is especially interested in leaving.

Summer leaves room for those detours. Across the North Georgia mountains, lakes, vineyards, small towns, and scenic roads offer plenty to explore without the need to pack every hour. Pick a direction, leave some room in the day, and start with three summer favorites.

Hit the Lake

North Georgia has no shortage of water, and in the middle of summer, that’s very good news.

Lake Blue Ridge is known for clear water framed by forest and mountain ridges, while Lake Chatuge near Hiawassee and Lake Nottely near Blairsville offer miles of shoreline and quiet coves of their own.

Rent a pontoon and pack a cooler, explore by kayak or paddleboard, find a swimming spot, or spend the afternoon fishing. The region’s rivers add even more options, from a leisurely float down the Toccoa to a day of whitewater adventure.

North Georgia Lakes

Follow the Georgia Wine Trail

The vineyards are one of North Georgia’s best arguments for taking the scenic route. Wineries and tasting rooms are scattered throughout the foothills, from Ellijay and Blue Ridge to Blairsville, Dahlonega, and beyond. Choose a corner of wine country and give it an afternoon rather than racing from one stop to the next.

Order a tasting, find a table overlooking the vines, and stay awhile. Summer often brings live music and food to the mix, while the drive between vineyards offers its own scenery—orchards, farms, winding roads, and mountain views included.

Wineries

Wander Through a Mountain Town

North Georgia’s small towns pack plenty of personality into a few walkable blocks. Browse galleries and boutiques in Blue Ridge, explore Ellijay’s apple-country roots, wander the historic square in Dahlonega, or make your way toward Helen for an entirely different change of scenery.
