Principal: Kim Egan Following the successful opening of eight new state schools at the start of this year, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said an additional five state schools were on track to open next year.

The Palaszczuk Government today announced it had awarded contracts to build a high school in Baringa (Caloundra South), a special school and primary Enrol NOW for Prep to Year 6 – 2017 school at Palmview and a primary school at Pimpama.

Construction is already underway at a new vertical high school at Dutton Park in Brisbane which is also due to open next year.

“Our track record of delivering new schools on time is apparent for all to see,” the Premier said.

“Even though last week we opened the most schools on one day in more than 30 years, our record delivery of new school infrastructure is not complete.

“These are some of the fastest growing regions in the state.

“That’s why we’re deliver the education infrastructure these communities need.”
