MY STORY: PRIORITIZING MYSELF

“I had my kids at a young age, so I needed to raise them to school age before I started college.

I was in the nursing field as a CNA for a decade and then enrolled in the LPN program. I like seeing real-life situations. When my education is complete, I plan to take my babies on a trip, enjoy job security and not live paycheck-to-paycheck.”

MY STORY:

Reinventing Myself

“When my professional football career ended, I was rediscovering myself. I’m a single dad with three kids. So, I needed something close to home that worked with my schedule. Southeast Tech and the Construction Management program provided that. They helped reveal who I was and wanted to be. I had great instructors and classmates and landed a job at Lloyd Companies as an assistant superintendent. I’m looking forward to running some larger projects and possibly starting my own contracting company.”
