Summer is here and with time on their hands, your kids need entertaining! Whether they are sporty, creative or just want to have fun with friends then South Downs Leisure has it covered. From football, rugby, athletics or pottery, to tennis, swimming, bouncy castles and assault courses, there’s an abundance of great activities guaranteed to keep them entertained.

Splashpoint Leisure Centre is the place for enjoying swimming, diving, snorkelling and inflatable fun sessions.

Worthing Leisure Centre is an ideal summer destination for energetic children who want to try a variety of activities, ranging from arts and crafts to sport academies.

Field Place Manor House is the perfect venue for sporty and creative children with pottery, tennis, musical theatre and more.

Davison Leisure Centre has something for everyone with lots of flexible options including our fantastic trampoline academy.

General booking information: Worthing Leisure Centre: Everyday we have Earlybird, Lunch and Twilighter sessions available.

For those early risers or late night workers these sessions help make your day even more flexible, with supervised or a prepared lunch option on offer.

• 8:30-9:30 Earlybirds* • 12:45-13:15 Lunch* • 16:30-18:00 Twilighters*. *All these sessions need to be pre-booked 24 hours in advance.

Davison Leisure Centre: Everyday we have Earlystarter and Lunch Supervision sessions available. For those early risers these sessions help make your day even more flexible, with a supervised lunch option on offer.

• 8:30-9:30 Earlystarter* • 12:45-13:15 Lunch Supervision* *Both these sessions need to be pre-booked.

Splashpoint Leisure Centre: • In busy periods we advise pre-booking of general swim sessions online. Online bookings can be made 24 hours in advane.

• All jewellery should be removed prior to swimming, this includes general sessions and all courses.

• We can not accept responsibility for property that is not secured in a locker. Lockers take 10p which is not returned. You may need more than one 10p if you return to your locker.

• The Main Pool and Diving Pool have movable floors, as such the pool depth varies throughout the day.

• Adult supervision is required for all children under 8 years of age. Please see the child admissions policy.

• In the interests of hygiene, please ensure that children that are not potty trained wear a suitable swim nappy. Not adhering to this can lead to unnecessary pool closures.

• Although every effort is made to ensure all the activities take place, the management reserves the right to cancel/change activities at anytime and where possible offer a suitable alternative.

• Photography is not permitted in the pool halls, changing areas, or spectating areas.

• “Drop off and go” sessions do not apply at Splashpoint Leisure Centre.

All site information: • Usual sports/casual clothing and trainers should be worn. No jeans or flip flops please.

• Socks must be worn for ALL trampoline sessions; failure to do so will result in your child being unable to fully participate in the activity.

• All jewellery must be removed or taped to prevent injury.

• Children attending craft or painting sessions should wear old clothes or bring an apron. All paints are water based but may stain clothing. We cannot accept responsibility for any item affected in this manner.

• Parents/carers must ‘sign in’ children at registration and ‘out’ at home times. Children over 10 years of age may sign themselves in and out, but only if parents have signed a permission slip allowing their children to do so.

• If your child is likely to suffer the effects of illness whilst in our care, or if he/she requires medication, please notify us when booking. There is a separate form at reception for this purpose. Please also inform the Holiday Programme Co-ordinator on the day as this will enable us to look for signs and symptoms.

• Any child who brings in an electronic device will be asked to hand over the item, which will then be stored securely throughout the day. We ask that children do not bring in any valuable items as we cannot take responsibility for loss or damage.

• Ensure your child brings lunch to a supervised lunch session if booked all day, unless they are booked in for a prepared lunch (Worthing Leisure Centre only).

• Please ensure children bring a towel, water pistols/ squeezy bottles and a complete change of clothes including shoes for water games sessions. Failure to do so may result in your child being unable to fully participate in the activity.

• High factor sunscreen and hats are highly recommended, as well as outer layers if the weather is cold or wet.

• Although every effort is made to ensure all the activities take place, the management reserve the right to cancel/change activities at any time and if possible offer a suitable alternative.

• For online bookings please contact any centre reception to get an online booking code. Please ensure your child is booked on via their own booking code. Please do not use parental FIT4 membership numbers as your child may be declined entry due to not being booked onto the session.

• All bookings made are non transferable or refundable. Please double check all bookings made online before confirming payment.

Bee-fit is a fun fitness class for toddlers. Each 45 minute session includes songs, parachute games, fitness circuits, relays and lots of fun!

Join us on Worthing beach for The Big Seaweed Search, a fun ocean science project initiated by the Natural History Museum and the Marine Conservation Society, and help us explore the seashore to record the living seaweeds you find there.

Seaweeds are an amazing source of information for how our oceans are doing, with a lot of marine wildlife including fish and shellfish living and breeding amongst them. During our session you will learn about different seaweeds local to Worthing, and you’ll even get to taste some dried seaweed from our partners, the Cornish Seaweed Company.

The records of seaweeds we have found on the beach will be sent back to the Natural History Museum to help them monitor the changes in our oceans and its effects on Britain’s sealife.

Flip ‘n’ Fun Flip ‘n’ Fun has been created for children as an introduction to Diving, encouraging FUNdamental movement skills in the swimming pool. (Goggles can’t be worn during Flip ‘n’ Fun courses).

This 40 minute session is aimed at children from 8 to 12 years old. The prime objective is to have fun and give children the chance to experience something new and challenging.
