SUMMER ACTIVITIES 2026
WELCOME...
...to Active South Derbyshire’s summer holiday programme, which is jam packed full of fun activities for you to do and is completely FREE!
Fold out the giant calendar inside to find out day to day what’s happening over the school holidays throughout South Derbyshire!
HOW TO TAKE PART...
Parents/carers must complete a consent form BEFORE children take part in activities. This can now be done online, scan the QR code on the front of the leaflet to be directed to the online form. Then you just need to make a note of your unique registration code to register a child’s attendance at the sign in desk at any sessions they attend over the summer. Codes from previous years are still active and can be used.
Please note that all activities are open public sessions in open public spaces and run on a drop in and out basis, meaning young people are free to come and go as they please. All activities listed are run by qualified, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checked staff. The staff working at these sessions are there to supervise young people when they are using the equipment only. It is therefore recommended that parents or carers remain at sessions and supervise their children at all times.
Active South Derbyshire is committed to promoting health and wellbeing, offering a wide range of activities across the district for people of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re looking for something to keep the kids entertained or want to boost your own activity levels and take some time for yourself, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

All activities on this calendar are listed as FREE because Parish Councils have paid for these activities to be in your local area. The activities in and around the Swadlincote area are free because the South Derbyshire Community Safety Partnership has covered the cost. Occasionally the Council’s key partners such as Public Health, Police and others may visit sessions to engage with those in attendance.
