Wimbledon comes to Swadlincote with a pristine court, dead posh umpire and highly strung players. A hilarious but thrilling interactive tennis show that serves up all the drama; including slow motion replays, heated line calls, tantrums and live commentary. Expect the rules to be slightly bent!
A beautiful big hearted extravaganza of food, dance, live music, songs and tales from around the world. Join the Guild of Toasters and dance with them through the seasons and their treats in a love song to community.

Mobile Comedy Kitchen chefs present a cookery demonstration like no other. Creating ‘food on the move ’ by blending homegrown ingredients with food foraged from the corner shop, the streets and of course the audience, this comedic duo gives new meaning to ‘fusion cooking’.
A Bee-rilliant Adventure! Join Billy Bumble as he shrinks down to bee-size and learns about the troubles that they face. Featuring spell-binding puppetry and a giant honeycomb set, join us for a whirlwind ride, avoiding grumpy Mr Fred and the gaping jaws of Shredder the dog! Buzz finishes with the audience being given wildflower seeds, to plant and help our black and yellow friends to flourish.

South Derbyshire in Stitches!
South Derbyshire’s Stitchers have been busy, creating quilts inspired by local heritage and landscapes. More than 100 stitchers from Melbourne and Swadlincote have embroidered and appliquéd squares and these unique creations will be displayed together at the festival as a spectacular quilt.
Alongside the display, Melbourne Arts will also be running a hands-on art workshop where visitors can help create colourful, inspired bunting.

Join People Express for a creative weekend beneath the trees, where you can explore heritage crafts through willow weaving, mosaic-making and hand carving, all inspired by birds and the natural world.
Street food including, burgers, hog roast, loaded fries and Greek gyros can be found on the park.
A bar and the WI Café with homemade cakes can be found next to the bandstand with picnic benches and bistro style chairs and tables.
Car parking is located opposite the park on York Road. There will be signs and parking marshals.
Please respect the parking staff and park where you have been shown. Spaces are limited.
Accessible parking is available in the main car park, but also limited.
There is plenty of all day parking in Swadlincote Town Centre, which is just a 20 minute walk away.
You are very welcome to bring your own picnic. There is plenty of seating located across the park and there are quieter spaces past the Grass Roots Stage.
Event Control is located near York
Road entrance; on the map you will
find a red ⓘ . The first aid tent is
also located next to the York Road entrance; on the map you will see a green and white cross.
Please be considerate of local residents when parking.
The park is accessible by public transport. There are various bus routes leading to the park.
Dogs are welcome at the event, however, they must be kept on a lead.
Please ensure that you clean up after your dog and check the weather forecast before attending. If the weather is predicted to be hot, please assess the suitability of bringing your dog along.
A dog water bowl is located at event control.
If you see anything suspicious on the park, please inform event control located next to York Road entrance. There will be a police presence on the park. There are multiple entrance and exit points located on the park.
I’ve lost my child – what should I do?
Contact your nearest Festival volunteer (in a Hi-Vis vest) or come to the event control near York Road Entrance. We will help you find your child. If we find an unaccompanied child, they will be looked after by DBS-checked volunteers, or first aid at the event control area, until we find their adult.
If you find any lost property, please take it to event control. We will keep any lost property for a month after the event. After a month we will dispose of it appropriately.
Photography and videos will be taken throughout the weekend from event photographers, videographers and staff.
We ask that you take any rubbish home with you. We will have bins provided and recycling separated. Please respect our park!
There is no ATM on site, so please be sure to bring enough cash to last the event. The nearest available ATM is at the local Tesco on Thorpe Downs Road.
The park has flat paths and can be accessed by wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Accessible toilets are also available at the event, located near the bandstand. The grassed sections of the park can be uneven and rough. The event is open to all.
The festival will go ahead in most weather conditions, come rain or shine. In the unlikely event of severe weather conditions, we may have to cancel the event for health and safety reasons.
The event is based outside on an open park.
Please dress appropriately for the weather. We always recommend bringing a lightweight coat/waterproof just in case. Be prepared for any hot sunny weather, by sticking on some sunscreen on and keeping hydrated!
