On February 5, 2025, the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce (HBCOC) hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for Edinger Medical Group’s brand-new facility located at 20981 Magnolia Street, on the corner of Magnolia Street and Atlanta Avenue.

Huntington Beach chamber and city council members gathered with the Edinger Medical Group team at the front entrance of the building to spread the news to the community that a local family favorite has opened a new office and they’re accepting new patients.

Sue Prescott, HBCOC board member and proud patient of Edinger Medical Group, opened the ceremony by highlighting the group’s recent win as “Best Healthcare Medical Professional” in the HBCOC’s “Best of HB” Awards on January 23.

Subsequently, Sue began interviewing President and CEO of Edinger Medical Group, Dr. Stanley Arnold.

“For those who are not familiar with Edinger, we’re a primary care group that’s been in existence since 1961. Our group is comprised of 11 physicians; we have 10 internal medicine doctors, 1 family practitioner, 4 nurse practitioners and 75 staff members,” said Arnold.

“Our practice was originally founded on Edinger Avenue. We moved 30 years ago to the Beach Stone Plaza on Beach Boulevard. We found this location recently and thought it would be an ideal location to relocate to,” he continued.

Arnold shares that the newly renovated building, which was formerly a Citi Bank, now offers a spacious lobby, 10 exam rooms, and a dedicated X-ray room.

Accompanying Dr. Arnold at the ceremony was Dr. Tamara Fogarty, Dr. Nicole Chow, Dr. Victor Lin, Dr. Betty Yu, Dr. Cambria Hembree and Dr. Karen Don as well as three of their nurse practitioners, Jeanie Lam, Rebecca Lee and Lana Nguyen, and several directors and managers.

Huntington Beach City Councilman Butch Twining stepped in to make a few closing remarks, congratulating the group on their new business venture and presenting them with an Award of Commendation from the City of Huntington Beach.

“The only place I feel safer than around a bunch of doctors and nurses is at the police department, so this is really a safe place to be,” says Councilman Twining.

Janelle Otenza, assistant to assembly member Diane Dixon who represents the City of Huntington Beach in Sacramento, and Shawn Wood, Chairman of the HBCOC Board, also presented the group with awards and recognition just before the countdown to the ribbon cutting, which marked the end of the ceremony.

Edinger Medical Group’s ribbon cutting with the HBCOC was filmed and published on the chamber’s YouTube channel. To watch it now, visit youtube.com/@thehbchamber.

New research has found a new “magic” retirement savings number

(I explain how inflation factors in below.)

I say “magic” because if you put 10 people in a room, you’ll get 10 different opinions about how much you should save for retirement. And this estimate is no different. Northwestern Mutual surveyed 4,588 adults and found:

The new “magic” number for a comfortable retirement is $1.46 million.

It’s up 15% from last year’s $1.27 million number and is also an eye-popping 53% higher than the 2020 estimate.

Broken down by generation, the numbers get even bigger.

Gen Z and Millennials expect to need around $1.6 million to comfortably retire. And folks with over $1 million saved believe they’ll need nearly $4 million to be comfortable.

Does the average American actually need $1.46 million to retire comfortably?

Probably not. Another “magic” number from Fidelity suggests Americans should have 10x their income saved by age 67. If we 10x the median household income of $74,580, we get $745,800. That’s about half of the first “magic” number. For some Americans, $750k will be enough to retire on. For others, it won’t be nearly enough to support the lifestyle they want.

Planning for retirement isn’t about “magic” numbers. When we consider that the average retirement savings hovers around $88,000, the gap between desire and reality has never been greater. Most people don’t really know how much money they will need in retirement, and can wildly overestimate it. As much as humans like to look for simple answers and rules to follow, turning a portfolio into retirement income is complex. I wish I could give each person in that survey an advisor to help them calculate their own retirement target instead of guessing.

Inflation is weighing heavily on our fears for the future. Inflation has been very high for the last few years, and (in my opinion) the survey reflects the worry many feel about how much prices are rising. And how long high inflation will linger.

The latest March report shows that prices rose 3.5% over the last 12 months.

That’s stronger than analysts had expected, and increases concerns that inflation isn’t actually tamed yet. This negative surprise is likely to push back a Fed interest rate cut and stoke market volatility. We’re keeping an eye on the situation and will be in touch with updates as needed.

HB Native Timmy McKeever A Rising Country Sensation

Rising Country sensation Timmy McKeever releases his debut album Devils & Angels today. Produced by Matt McVaney (Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny, Lainey Wilson, Scotty McCreery, Tim McGraw, Gary LeVox), the album release comes on the heels of securing a record deal with Droptine Recordings and a booking deal with WME.

Delving into the complexities experienced in relationships and love, McKeever rawly explores a sense of longing for the unattainable in his first full-length project. “Devils & An-

gels” is the title track on the album and serves as a compelling introduction to the overarching theme of contradiction running throughout the project. “It’s about chasing someone you think you can never have,” says McKeever. “The song embodies the tension between hopefulness and the harsh realities of love, where you’re constantly torn between your desires and whatever is standing in the way.”

The album follows the progression of a relationship from its fiery beginning to its inevitable burnout. Another standout track, “Chills,” captures the

feeling of a relationship that has lost its spark, yet still holds the possibility of rekindling what was once there. “Chills is about that moment in a burnt-out relationship when you realize you still want to try to reignite the flame, even though it feels like you’re too far gone,” says McKeever.

“I want my fans to feel understood,” McKeever shares. “I hope they listen to the album and realize they’re not alone in these complicated journeys – love is full of contradictions, and this album reflects that – the push and pull, the highs and lows, the devils and the angels.”

YAbsolutely Fabulous Absolutely Fabulous

Surf City’s Most Unique Gifts & Décor Boutique

ears ago, a friend had a birthday and her family threw her a surprise party. This is a woman I've always had the hardest time shopping for - she leans toward unique, oneof-a-kind items and decor and her tastes are always a little eclectic and a lot of fun. I called a mutual friend for some ideas and she told me something I haven’t forgotten to this day: there are two types of presents. One that means something to the receiver because it reflects what they love. The other means something to them because it reflects what you love.

Eighteen years ago, Diane Silverstein walked into an impulse buy like no other. (i.e. not your regular gift purchase) She came home with the deed to a retail space that would be- come Absolutely Fabulous - a supremely unique gift and decor destination that has evolved into a Surf City staple that folks from every corner of Orange County Flock to for every milestone that calls for an extra special gift.

Her eye for curating the most incredible selection of home accent offerings and unique gifts make it easy to find the perfect item without making a million stops or needlessly scouring the vast black hole of the internet. To surprise others with such a selection, you have to have a specific passion for hunting down curious items oth-

ers might have passed over, or never looked for in the first place.

The variety and uniqueness of products at Absolutely Fabulous is astounding: hand-made jewelry, Miche Bag purses (the ones where you just drop the “insides” of your into a new shell, rather than having to dump all of your stuff out!), $10 silk scarves, old-school shaving kits for men, a “Daddy’s Tool Bag” that includes diaper changing equipment, and instructional DVD, face mask and other funny items, rare paintings by successful artists, large crystal chandeliers, crystal perfume bottles, stuffed animal baby bottle covers, piggy banks for kids, “dorm survival kits” for new students, wedding party gifts, rare Disney art and collectibles, seasonal decor and gifts, Christmas decorations that range from very inexpensive bottle stoppers and tree decorations to 6-foot high collectible Santa dolls. Absolutely really does cover the gamut of gifts for anyone: “from birth to death and everything in-between is our moniker” Diane proudly states. I tend to agree.

BRING DOWN THE HOUSE WITH THE

I haven’t been a kid in a while. What I recall about music lessons is that they were forced, and more importantly, stodgy.

Beginning somewhere around the fourth grade, students were advised to pick an instrument for class, and I can honestly say I only know two adults from those classes who still play those instruments today. Needless to say, my music classes were nothing like the offering at School of Rock Huntington Beach.

A unique community of teachers, musicians, and families, School of Rock Huntington Beach sounds exactly like what it is, and also nothing like what it truly means. Founded in 2014 by a trio of performers, educators, and business owners, the industry welcomed them onto the scene with open arms. Larry Boodman, an alum of the Orange County School of the Arts, and Jeff Nunes were members of an L.A-based indie rock group known as Fourwayfree. Joey Acona, a production and performance instructor at OCSA for many years, knew Boodman through their common connections.

“The School of Rock was borne from the desire to create a safe place for supportive collaboration among students, and has instilled confidence, self-esteem, and discipline that will serve them well into the future pur-

suit of any goal, not just music," says Jeff.

Practical instruction meets professional performance education. The students learn on guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, or vocals. But their weekly private lesson is combined with a weekly group rehearsal, “as the students prepare for an actual rock show that they perform at the end of the season. Themed - ACDC, Arena Rock, or Grunge. And played on professional stages like the House of Blues Anaheim.”

If you’re not sure what you’d like to specialize in just yet, no worries. School of Rock Huntington Beach provides a free trial lesson to anyone interested, and all are welcome to give them a try. Ages 6 to adult are brought into the fold, and “given the chance to learn team work, practice commitment, and master their chosen instrument. It makes learning not only fun and engaging, but a team sport.” Glad I don’t have to be a kid to go back to School (of Rock).

The Ultimate Spring Ski Escape v v Lake SouthTahoe’s Shore South

All the stars were recently in alignment for a long weekend spent on the slopes in one of the prettiest places on the planet: Lake Tahoe’s South Shore.

Since we’ve been back, our children haven’t been able to stop raving about the trip - particularly our son, who had been begging to “squeeze in a spring ski weekend” to celebrate his milestone 18th birthday. In fact, they’ve been talking it up so much that friends here at home joked that someone must

have put them on retainer while they were there: “they must be on commission, right?” No, no. It was just that much fun.

With some of the world’s best skiing, restaurants, nightlife, and family friendly fun all within a stones throw of what is arguably one of

the most beautiful alpine lakes south of the Canadian border, it isn’t a wonder that we found more to do in a weekend than most visitors experience over a two-week vacation.

Situated on the California-Nevada Stateline, South Lake Tahoe of the only destinations in the country with all the outdoor adventure of a national park, and the amenities you might find at a world-class resort, there is something for everyone. Especially arriving in the most beautiful times of year in the American West - winter giving way to early spring. January and February might be peak powder months, but “later in the season” world-class skiing at Heavenly Mountain Resort (SkiHeavenly. com) is just as fun: fewer lines and open runs beckoning to get the day started, and an apres ski cocktail or hot cocoa to end a

day on the slopes – you couldn’t ask for a more idyllic way to spend the day.

While there are many options within easy driving distance, none are more convenient or feature more prime photo ops than Heavenly overlooking the forested Sierra Nevada slopes that surround the crystal clear waters of the largest alpine lake and the second deepest in the nation.

Straddling two states, Heavenly is largest and highest mountain ski resort in the region, boasting an enormous 4,800 skiable acres and

28 modern, multi-person lifts with a multitude of runs for all skill levels and stellar views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. In the early spring, there are abundant “bluebird days” of sunshine and clear skies, which is what we were blessed to have experienced on our recent visit - my husband and son (an advanced skier and intermediate snowboarder, respectively) had a blast on the slopes while my daughter and I spent our time racing each other snow tubing (you’ll

Tahoe Keys Resort features spacious condos, rustic cabins an and luxury homes for short and extended stay.

need to purchase a tubing ticket and a gondola ticket to access). Way too much fun hurtling down Heavenly’s tubing hill (500+ feet long) with a convenient magic carpet to take enthusiasts back up to the top to experience the adrenaline rush again ... and again.

WHERE TO STAY

For a more comfortable, cozy and convenient option to staying in a traditional hotel room, The Tahoe

Keys Resort (LakeTahoe.com or 800.698.2463) offers an extensive selection of luxury homes, condos and rustic cabins to suit your specific needs – whether you’re a couple looking for a romantic retreat, a family with kids or a large group of friends.

For those of us who are working from the confines of our kitchen table or a cramped home office looking for a break, Tahoe Keys Resort features abundant 31+ day- extended stay properties. Perfect for a work-vacation combination trip, or a multigenerational vacation, the opportunities for excitement and relaxation are unlimited.

Traveling with our teens, we have been booking accommodation through Tahoe Keys Resort since they were littles. The process couldn’t be easier and with so many options, we’re ensured plenty of space to stretch out, everyone has their own room to retreat to, we save time and money by being occupied and entertained away from the hotel room, our trips here are all about taking full advantage in what the accommodation we rented has to offer. Lunches and dinners are either easy outdoor affairs – steaks, burgers, hot dogs and grilled corn cooked on the barbecue or a multicourse meal prepared in a chef’s gourmet kitchen. For the adults, “happy hour” on an outdoor deck with expansive forested views is a nightly highlight - sipping a glass of fine wine while watching the sun slip over the horizon – a perfect end to each fun-filled day in one of the prettiest places on the planet.

How Can I Tell If I Have Skin Cancer?

There are three main types of skin cancer: basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. Because each has many different appearances, it is important to know the early warning signs.

Look especially for change of any kind. Do not ignore a suspicious spot simply because it does not hurt. Skin cancers may be painless, but dangerous all the same. If you notice one or more of the warning signs, see a board-certified dermatologist right away, preferably one who specializes in diseases of the skin.

ACTINIC KERATOSIS

An actinic keratosis (AK) is a crusty, scaly growth caused by damage from exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation. An AK is considered a precancer because if left alone, it could develop into a skin cancer. AKs are the product of a lifetime accumulation of UV damage and typically appear on areas most commonly exposed sun, such as the backs of the hands, forearms, face, neck, and scalp.

SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA

Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is an uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells arising in the epidermis, the skin’s outermost layer. SCCs often look like scaly red patches, crusty bumps, warts, or elevated growths with a central depression. SCCs may appear suddenly and some forms are tender to touch. They can become disfiguring and sometimes deadly if allowed to grow. More than 1 million cases of SCC are diagnosed each year in the U.S., which translates to about 115 cases diagnosed every hour. Incidence has increased by 200 percent in the past three decades in the U.S., and more than 15,000 Americans die each year from this type of skin cancer.

BASAL CELL CARCINOMA

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most frequently occurring form of all cancers, with more than 4 million cases of diagnosed in the U.S. each year. BCCs may look like open sores, red patches, pink growths, shiny bumps, or scars. Any skin lesion that doesn’t heal, or bleeds with even gentle trauma, such as drying with a towel, is concerning for a BCC.

MELANOMA

Melanoma is a very dangerous form of skin cancer. Melanoma is caused mainly by intense, occasional UV exposure (frequently leading to sunburn), especially in those who are genetically predisposed to the disease. An estimated 178,560 cases of melanoma are diagnosed in the U.S. each year and is fatal for an estimated 9,320 of these patients. Fortunately, if melanoma is recognized and treated early, it is almost always curable.

WHAT PATIENTS NEED TO KNOW

1. Everyone needs to perform a self-skin exam once a month.

2. Melanoma can appear anywhere on the skin, including the palms/soles, under your nails, and places...for most, have never seen the light of day (genitalia). For this reason, it is important to look everywhere. Lock the bathroom door, get out a hand mirror, and check, it could save your life.

3. What to look for: ABCDEs, and an ugly duckling

A - Asymmetry: If I draw a line down the middle, do the sides match?

B - Border: Is there a nice crisp border, or does the mole melt into the surrounding skin?

C - Color: Moles should be one color, one shade of brown. Is there a variety of shades or additional colors, such as black, red, white, or blue?

D - Diameter: Any mole larger than 6mm, ie the head of a pencil eraser, has a higher risk of becoming melanoma.

E - Evolution: Has it changed?

F - The Ugly Duckling Sign: Most people have a “signature mole,” their own personal mole appearance and architecture. Is there a mole that seems different from all the others?

4. Everyone needs a full body skin exam by a board-certified dermatologist once a year, more frequently if you have a family history of skin cancer, a personal history of skin cancer, or live in an area with substantial sunshine.

When I was younger, my Mom loved to read me the book “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie.” The plot essentially revolves around an ever-growing list of to-do’s that had to be accomplished, all set into motion by the simple act of giving a mouse a cookie. This tale came back to me recently when I purchased a new television at Best Buy.

What was a simple shopping trip ended up being an adult’s version of that circular tale. If you give a grownup a television, they’ll have to measure their wall. When they measure the wall, they’ll realize they may actually have room for a bigger television. When they buy the bigger television, they’ll find out they have no idea how to mount it to the wall. When they start mounting it to the wall, they’ll see that the power outlets are all in the wrong

places. When they realize the outlets need to be moved, they’ll call an electrician. (This could go on forever.)

Luckily for clients who have been on the receiving end of ReelTime’s patient, intelligent, and personalized service, the rabbit hole of home automation doesn’t have to swallow you entirely. By placing every control at your fingertips, the team at ReelTime helps homeowners manage everything from how brightly lit your family room is, to your streaming devices - all with a single remote. And best yet? You can control your whole home from the comfort of your couch- even seeing who is at the front door, without ever

leaving your seat. Simple, clean, and uncluttered.

And on the home entertainment front … when you started planning for your ultimate home theater set-up and sound system, could you find the right media cabinetry for your particular space – cabinetry that wouldn’t catch on fire from the heat of the equipment, or that would simply

look good in the room? Did you understand half of what the televisions, receivers and other devices could do, and did you have anyone to hold your hand to make sure you weren’t overspending for what you wanted?

Big box retailers, the professed champions of value, are happy to sell you any home theater and sound equipment you think you might like, and send you off to figure it out at home. That’s what they do. And that’s all they do.

If you want the home theater system that you envision, seek the services of Owners Skip Myers and Jon Colburn and their team of experienced professionals at ReelTime to take you from start to finish for the home theater or sound system of your dreams.

“Usually there is a part of the job that you find you just can’t do by yourself,” says Skip, who has overseen the design and installation of thousands of home theater and sound systems over the course of 40-plus years in the business. “You get your brand new television home, you’re so excited, then you realize you need to move an outlet or none of the cabinets you can find will fit your space.

We’re here to make sure you get the equipment that will give you what you want and the system that will work with that equipment, without leaving you to fend for yourself.”

The technicians and designers who work with clients are all ReelTime employees, knowledgeable in all home theater and sound technologies. First, they work closely with you to determine what you’re looking for. Then they custom design every aspect of the project, from wiring to custom-built cabinets, frames, or built-in wall designs. Finally, licensed, in-house contractors install your entertainment system with care and precision.

There are a couple of things that people may not think about when they embark upon the road to their own home entertainment system.

“You need to think about your home theater goals,” says Jon. “You don’t have to do everything at once – you can do it bit by bit – but if you know where you’re going, you’ll save money and when it’s all said and done, you’ll have exactly what you want and what you will actually use. We’re here to help you determine your goals.”

Skip and Jon are also advocates for getting what you’ll use, which is part of the design and planning process.

“You can buy everything you want to, but if you can’t operate it, what’s the point?” says Jon. “There’s the televi-

sion, DVD and Blue-ray; there’s the receiver, there’s Apple TV… it’s all great, but how do you get them to work together? We’re big advocates of the universal remote. Not everyone knows how to get the most out of their systems with one powerful remote – they’re not expensive, but the best ones are computer-based. We’ll set that up for you so you’re getting the most out of your custom system.”

It’s easy to assume that personal service is expensive, but a conversation with the experts at ReelTime and the experts at ReelTime is free. Ultimately, in planning your purchases for the right outcome, you’re likely to save money while avoiding chilling setbacks. The only chilling you want to be doing is in front of your fantasy home theater system.

THE FENIANS

For over twenty five years, The Fenians have delivered their potent mix of traditional Irish folk and good old rock n roll all across the USA and Ireland. With an ever expanding set of original creations, as well as contemporary and traditional tunes plucked from the panoply of the genre, these five lads put on a live show that is second to none. Their foundation is decidedly Celtic, but there is no mistaking the complimentary influences of Rock, Folk, Bluegrass, Jazz, and World music.

Called folk-rock, blues, jazz, post-punk, and freeform psychedelia with dark, moody yet hopeful and beautiful sonic landscapes, the “neo-psychedelic” (Press Democrat) band used their decades of experience, playing both traditional and nontraditional music to mesmerize the fans.

Scripted Bar & Kitchen

Premium Luxury Bar and Casual Restaurant

Date nights and family outings often include two of my favorite past times – dining out and going to the movies. With the opening of Scripted Bar & Kitchen (located inside the MetroLux Theatres in the Outlets at San Clemente), combining both for a memorable evening out with my husband or a family fun day with the kids just became infinitely easier.

For the former, the full-service bar features a nearly 30-foot show stopping (pun intended) natural stone quartzite bar serving top liquor brands for a variety of classic and custom cocktails, craft draft and bottled beer, fine wine and non-alcoholic beverage options. Another defining feature – six overhead television screens perfect for catching favorite sporting events.

I lean toward appetizers as entrees so the perfect “date night” involves a glass of fine wine and an array of delicious dishes to share. Our faves at Scripted? The fried calamari with marinara, Thai chicken tenders (options also include BBQ, plain or Buffalo), Bretzel bites with beer cheese sauce or honey mustard and edamame. Other popular picks include the pro-

sciutto arugula plate, crab rangoons (think crab and cream cheese accompanied by a sweet chili dipping sauce) and hulk nachos (homemade tortilla chips, chicken, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream and cheese sauce).

The great thing about Scripted Bar & Kitchen is that it’s open to the public – whether or not you’re going to a movie. So it’s destined to be an option for a quick bite to refuel when my daughter and I hit the Outlets for a mom + me shopping excursion.

Meals out with the kids? There are plenty of pasta and pizza offerings including the Penne Emiliano (julienne of zucchini, prosciutto and creamy Parmesan) and a spicy sausage flatbread topped with mozzarella, Andouille sausage, pepperoni and chili flakes.

“Handhelds” served with fries, rice, truffle fries or side house green salad range from a crispy shrimp burger and Malibu organic veggie burger to a herb chicken bacon avocado sandwich on ciabatta and the signature Metro burger with gouda cheese, bacon onion jam, arugula, tomato and garlic aioli.

You’ll have your work cut out for you in choosing between the sweet treats for dessert. The Metro sundae puts an inventive spin on the traditional favorite topping vanilla ice cream with brownie bites, chocolate and caramel drizzled popcorn and whipped cream – yum!

Deemed a “Flower in the Desert,” Cirque Du Soleil’s Mystère is a Timeless Treat for All Ages

Experience awe-inspiring acrobatics, elaborate sets and dreamlike imagery in this colossal classic – Cirque’s first non-traveling, permanent production in Las Vegas

landscapes, a timeless classic I’ve loved “introducing” to friends and family over the years is at 30+ years, the troupe’s longest-running production and one of the most sought-after tickets on the strip: Cirque Du Soleil’s Mystère at TI (Treasure Island).

Like all Cirque shows, Mystère is a full sensory, balletic, visually stunning experience. You literally will not believe your eyes as the fantastical set and scene transforms against a backdrop of booming taiko drums, an intricate lighting display and a cast of colorful characters – seemingly superhuman in their respective skills and powerful athleticism. At the heart are a series of mesmerizing acts - Chinese poles, hand-to-hand balancing, trampoline, trapeze, bungee (think majestic birds in flight that dive in unison creating fancifully organized chaos) and more.

Full disclosure: I’m a longtime fan of Cirque Du Soleil – the shows in residency in Sin City at various resort properties along the Las Vegas Strip and the ones that travel around the globe. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of attending several of the different “themed” extravaganzas - all of which originated with a small troupe of circus performers from Quebec that have evolved into a worldwide phenomenon of unbelievably beautiful and impossibly challenging acrobatic feats and trademark artistry.

While each show features its own distinct storyline, powerfully emotive music and ever-changing theatrical

In short, when in Vegas, Mystère should top your list as a must-see show – timeless entertainment for all ages where artistry, imagination and technology beautifully intersect.

Hyatt Regency Irvine

The Perfect Locale for a Memorable Multi-Generational Stay-Cation

Staycations for no special occasion other than a memorymaking opportunity are among my favorite events to plan. My husband and I are blessed to have a close family friend who has over

the years become an adopted grandmother to our two children. So when our 16-year-old daughter, Emma, suggested I arrange a multigenerational stay-cation for we three “girls,” I jumped at the chance to coordinate an overnight adventure chock full of our favorite activities amidst luxurious accommodations and family-friendly amenity.

I didn’t even need to research hotel options – Emma and I had spent a memorable “Mom + Me” weekend away at the newly renovated Hyatt Regency Irvine several months ago and couldn’t think of a better reason for a return visit.

Located literally minutes away from John Wayne Airport, the property is the perfect "home base" for all ages and interests - within easy driving distance to virtually all the recreation, amenity and entertainment the region has to offer. World-class shopping and dining? Check. Miles of white sand beaches? Check. Arts, culture and theme parks galore (and just a hop and a skip to the Happiest Place on Earth)? Check, check and check.

For this stay, our collective wish list involved a little retail therapy, fine dining and an evening ensconced in luxurious comfort.

in a familystyle atmosphere. A floorto-ceiling digital display of scenic landscapes and visual art serves as the dining room’s focal point – a curated experience of rich rotating programming by up-and-coming talent.

companions to sleep in while I squeezed in a workout in the stateof-the-art 24-hour fitness facility featuring Peloton® Bikes, Life Fitness cardio equipment, free weights, and various weight machines plus exclusive access to private ondemand trainers through a new collaboration with Future, a techforward approach to fitness that is customized for Hyatt Regency Irvine's fitness center and equipment.

For the former, we strolled around the Irvine Spectrum for a spell prior to heading to the hotel for check in. For the latter, our adjoiningroom accommodation - one of the property's 516 "totally transformed" rooms and suites - showcased a thoughtful and modern interior, distinct artwork and light fixtures and plenty of space to spread out –which was perfect for a movie-night in after dinner. There are a variety of curated layouts to fit various travel groups and lifestyles: Specialty suites include private kitchenettes, extended stay suites offer complete kitchens, family-friendly layouts feature bunkbeds and more.

Destination Dining

“A place where art and creativity are celebrated,” the hotel’s signature restaurant, Warehouse 72, is a modern bistro and bar purposefully designed to bring people together

As it turns out, we are all fans of “appetizers as entrees” or combining a couple of different entrees to share family-style to sample a variety of different dishes. The culintary offerings here showcases something for every palate from seafood aficionados to dedicated meat-eaters. On this evening, we three leaned into a little of each.

Favored flavorful starters range from a Black Truffle Arancini (flash-fried risotto, black truffles, Parmesan, herbs and Truffetto cheese) to Charred Spanish Octopus and Tiger Shrimp Tacos. For the main course, popular picks include the Yuzu Chilean seabass, seared wild-caught Diver scallops and the Double R Ranch signature filet (enhanced with salmoriglio steak butter and accompanied by hand-cut fries and black truffle aioli).

Outdoors, an elevated pool experience showcases dualling waterslides, an outdoor lounge space replete with a pool bar, cabanas, and expansive LED TV screen to view sports games, movies, and more from the water or water's edge.

Add Regency Club access to your stay to enjoy exclusive amenities and private indoor/outdoor lounges (think firepits, lounge seating, a sophisticated bar, fullservice dining daily).

The Artisanal Marketplace serves savory an array of baked goodies, fresh juices, smoothies, premium Groundwork coffee, a curated selection of beers, wine, cocktails and more for all day grab-and-go or stay-and-enjoy.

Cefali & Cefali, APC

Trusted Accident Attorneys for the Most Serious Injuries

It’s a remarkable feeling when you can find someone to take your side. In relationships, sports: you name it. That one person who believes in you, makes you better, fights alongside you.

Michael Cefali matched with his person (his wife Courtney) long before law school - but their partnership extended through the long years studying for the bar and paid off in an even match that has stacked up in their favor many times over. Graduates of Chapman Law and California Western, respectively, they started the San Juan Capistrano-based Cefali & Cefali, APC in July of 2019 and have been fighting for the little guy ever since. From setting clients up with top-tier doctors and specialists, to negotiating stellar settlements, Cefali & Cefali, APC handles cases from start to finish with client health as their top priority.

Focusing on all aspects of personal injury, the Cefalis are what you might expect in such a ring: passionate, aggressive, and most importantly, honest - all traits that have contributed to the couple having recovered millions of dollars per year on behalf of their clients since opening their firm.

“The insurance companies would like you to think that they get to determine the value of your injuries, your suffering,” says Michael. “We’ll fight for every last penny because we know that you deserve it.” Clients appreciate the work that the Cefalis do. In fact, as of the date of this publication, you won’t find a single negative review of their firm anywhere on the internet.

Client Jamie shares, “I am so grateful for everything that Mike Cefali and his team did for me! Not only was he able to help me get what I was owed in my settlement and then some, but he was so responsive and kind and it was very apparent that he cared about me and my case! He and his team are so HONEST and FAIR and it was clear from start

Michael and Courtney Cefali

to finish that he had my best interest in mind! Not only is he a good lawyer but he is a good person which made a world of difference for me. I could not have asked for a better experience with a personal injury attorney! I have already recommended him to all of my friends and I will continue to recommended him to anyone looking for a good lawyer! Thank you so much Cefali and Cefali!”

Another client Carrie echoes Jamie’s sentiment, “My husband and I were rear-ended on the freeway. We felt bad thinking of contacting a lawyer, but after several months of continuous pain and medical treatments, a friend recommended Michael Cefali. From the beginning, he lived up to his core values of integrity, loyalty, and vigorous advocacy. Michael is a dedicated, friendly, and competent attorney who seamlessly represented our interests and ensured the outcome was in our favor. He treated us not like a client, but like family; he was there any time we needed him. He was empathetic to our situation and worked tirelessly with all parties to represent us. We don’t trust many people, but we trust Michael and his team and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a professional, effective, and focused attorney.”

With five staff members to back up the stellar work Michael and Courtney produce, the couple remain incredibly hands on, based on a culture of empathy, integrity and advocacy.

“We craft each case personally, build each one for trial, and remain accessible to clients,” says Michael. “Personal injury

attorneys get a bad rap when really we’re the good guys. I like to think of our firm as a pirate ship. Nimble, clever, and tenacious in spite of being outspent by the adversary, we pry money from greedy insurance companies and give it to our very deserving clients.”

Giving back is the spirit of the firm, and community work creates a direct link between Michael, Courtney, and their circle in San Juan Capistrano. The couple and their team proudly supports a number of local charitable and community organizations including: The Boys and Girls Club of Capistrano Valley (Courtney is on the Board of Directors), The San Juan Capistrano Friends of the Library (Courtney is also a board member), CREER, the Pacific Marine Mammal Foundation, and Project Coyote. Michael is a member of the San Juan Capistrano Rotary Club and has been recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow.

The Cefali team’s ethics, constant communication (every client is given Michael’s personal cell phone for easy accessibility), commitment to their clients and involvement in the community keeps everyone growing stronger and healthier together. Remarkable isn’t it, that feeling when someone takes your side?

Healing Hearts EMERGENCY ANIMAL

HOSPITAL

In writing this editorial, I recalled a friend once asking me to explain the premise of a book called “All Creatures Great and Small.”

It’s about giving veterinary care to animals like you’d give pediatric care to children in your community - with grace, and love, and an incredible amount of passion. James Herriot’s example was set long ago

through the tales of extraordinary and ordinary circumstance, but the level of service, specialization, and care lives on in clinics like Healing Hearts Emergency Animal Hospital in Laguna Hills.

Since opening its doors last August, the team of compassionate professionals here have provided the highest level of emergency medicine to dogs, cats, avian patients and even most exotics. Dr. Berschauer, the CEO and founding veterinarian behind Healing Hearts, strives to put together the best option for treatment for each patient on an individual level.

“We do this by working with each pet owner to determine what the optimal plan looks like for the care of your beloved pet,” says Stephanie Yun, office

manager. “With a fully equipped ICU, advanced monitoring systems, oxygen cage, full in-house lab, we’re ready to handle almost any emergency.”

In the rare instance that your pet needs treatment outside of Healing Hearts’ capabilities, they’ll help you coordinate the transfer and care to an outside facility. “We’re not kind or compassionate within our four walls alone - the nature of community is that it exists beyond our front door and we’re willing to go to any lengths to ensure your pet’s needs are met, wherever they end up.”

Dr. Berschauer and his staff’s warmth and dedication to caring for our furry (and sometimes not so furry) family members truly sets them apart. Each came from a different medical field, but their love of animals brought them to where they are today. Ensuring that we can bring back the “oldschool feel” of veterinary medicine “where your animal is assessed and treated from head-to-toe with stateof-the-art equipment” comes first. For all creatures, great and small.

Ask a SOMM

A good sommelier is a helper, a guide to finding the best wine for your food and experience. For this month’s installment, we again approached South County-based sommelier Micah Sampson to address a few frequently asked questions.

Q Should I pay attention to wine ratings? What do they mean?

A At the end of the day all wine ratings really are are opinions and scores from people who drink and know a lot about wine.

So if you need some help picking out a wine from a region you know nothing about, then sure, take a look at an online magazine and see what some of the ratings say. Generally, 88-90 points and higher mean the wine is going to be good. But once you get to the high 90’s you’re likely going to be paying a lot more for them, mainly because they have the high rating.

But I can let you in on a little secret, many amazing producers out there don’t even get their wines rated! The best way to find these is to look for wines with high ratings, remember the areas they come from, and then look for other producers in the same areas. You can often find killer wines for a fraction of the price when doing it this way. Another secret… this is exactly the way Somm’s Stash wines are made

Q How long do wines stay good after opening?

A This is an easy one, but still important. In general, wines will still be good for a day or two after you open them, but will start to degrade a bit from the moment you open them. Usually by day three you’ll notice the wines aren’t as good as they were when first opened, and by days four and beyond the wines just don’t taste right.

A little hint to get an extra day or two out of opened red wine is to seal the bottle with a cork or rubber stopper and store the half empty bottle in the fridge! The low temp in the fridge helps slow the degradation process. Just let the wine slowly warm up in a glass when you want one, cupping your hands around the glass will speed this up a bit.

Q What are sulfites and are they bad?

A We’ve all heard it… “Do you have any wines without sulfites? They give me headaches.” This is when the som-

melier mentally puts his or her palm to their face.

In the recent social-media-driven years, the word “sulfites” has become the new bad word in wine. But why? When did we become so focused on this one component in wine, treating it like a poison? It’s mentioned with an almost villainous undertone now, like some evil wizard is adding it to wine when no one is looking.

In reality, sulfites have been a known part of wine making for a thousand years. They are harmless to almost everyone and occur naturally in all wines. Yes… I said naturally in all wines.

Sulfites occur as part of the fermentation process, a natural byproduct of yeast metabolism during the conversion of sugar to alcohol. They are completely harmless to over 99% of all people.

In fact, the human body produces sulfites, a whole bunch of it, there’s already about 10 times more sulfites in you on a daily basis than a bottle of wine.

The thought of sulfites being a synthetic chemical added to wine is just a misguided fear. Winemakers might add additional small quantities near the end of fermentation to halt the process, but that’s the natural way to do it, like turning on the lights at the end of a dance party.

It’s also added during bottling as an antioxidant to help prevent spoilage. But, they only use what is needed to complete those stages, usually using amounts far within acceptable boundaries.

Sulfites do two things really well: they bond with oxygen molecules, keeping the wine from oxidizing into vinegar, and they push bacteria out of the wine to keep it from spoiling. Sulfites are like bouncers at the door of a bar, keeping the bad people out without ruining the party.

Unlocking Hope:

10 Reasons Why Ketamine Treatment Could Transform Your Battle Against Depression and Anxiety

As medical doctors deeply committed to the well-being of our patients, we understand the challenges many individuals face when conventional treatments for depression and anxiety fall short. In recent years, a groundbreaking approach has emerged as a beacon of hope for those who have exhausted other options—ketamine therapy. Here are ten compelling reasons why you should consider ketamine treatment when other medications or talk therapies haven’t provided the relief you seek.

1. Rapid Relief: Unlike traditional antidepressants that may take weeks to months to show results, ketamine often produces rapid relief. Many patients experience a noticeable improvement in their symptoms within hours or days, offering a swift solution for those who can’t afford to wait for relief.

2. Targeting Treatment-Resistant Depression: Ketamine has demonstrated remarkable efficacy in treating individuals with treatment-resistant depression/anxiety—those who have not responded adequately to multiple antidepressant/antianxiety medications. This breakthrough has provided a renewed sense of hope for those who have felt trapped in the cycle of despair.

3. Reshaping Neural Pathways: Ketamine doesn’t just alleviate symptoms; it actively works to reshape neural pathways. By promoting the growth of new synaptic connections, ketamine facilitates neuroplasticity, enabling the brain to reorganize itself and form healthier patterns of thought. Unlike traditional medications which are merely band aids for one’s symptoms, ketamines action to promote new

neural connections actually treats the source of one’s disease.

4. Enhanced Response to Talk Therapy: For individuals who have struggled to connect with traditional talk therapy, ketamine can act as a catalyst, enhancing the effectiveness of psychotherapy. This synergistic approach allows patients to engage more deeply in their therapeutic process, leading to profound insights and breakthroughs.

5. Reducing Suicidal Ideation: Studies have shown that ketamine can rapidly reduce suicidal ideation in patients with severe depression. This is a crucial aspect, especially for individuals facing acute crises, as it provides a lifeline during moments of extreme vulnerability.

6. Customized Treatment Plans: Ketamine treatments are highly customizable, allowing healthcare professionals to tailor the dosage and frequency based on individual needs. This personalized approach ensures that each patient receives the optimal therapeutic benefit, addressing their unique struggles with depression and anxiety.

7. Long-Lasting Results: Ketamine treatments have demonstrated the potential for long-lasting relief, with some patients experiencing sustained improvement for weeks or even months after a course of treatment. This contrasts with the short-lived effects of some traditional antidepressants.

8. Mind-Body Connection: Ketamine’s impact extends beyond the mind, influencing the body’s stress response systems. By modulating neurotransmitters and neurochemicals, ketamine helps restore balance to the intricate interplay between the mind

Dr. Justin Yanuck, Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician and Board Certified Pain Medicine Physician and Dr. Tanya Dall, Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician

and body, fostering a comprehensive sense of well-being.

9. Low Risk of Dependency: Unlike certain medications that carry a risk of dependency, ketamine has shown a low potential for abuse or addiction when given in a controlled setting by a licensed professional. This makes it a safer option for individuals concerned about the long-term consequences of medication use.

10. Regaining Control of Your Life: Perhaps most importantly, ketamine therapy offers a pathway to regaining control of your life. By breaking the chains of depression and anxiety, patients can rediscover their passions, rebuild relationships, and pursue a future unburdened by the weight of mental health struggles.

In conclusion, ketamine therapy stands as a beacon of hope for those who have weathered the storm of depression and anxiety without finding solace in conventional treatments. As medical professionals, we wholeheartedly advocate for considering ketamine as a viable option, recognizing its potential to transform lives and offer a new dawn for those who have longed for relief. Thankfully, this therapy is covered by most insurances now making it an affordable option to get you the care you deserve.

The Proof is in the Paint with ONE WAY PAINTING

Ralph Waldo Emerson famously said “who you are speaks so loudly I cannot hear what you’re saying.” Keeping this quote in mind has served me well over the years, particularly in choosing friends … and when seeking out the services of professionals. In my opinion, integrity isn’t a word heard often enough in the business world. Competitive, certainly.

But unfortunately phrases like “bottom-line oriented,” “unscrupulous,” even “cutthroat” have cropped up in the vernacular when hearing home improvement gone wrong stories from fellow homeowners. That’s why it was so refreshing to come across Jeff McCabe and his Orange County-based One Way Painting.

In business since 1976, Jeff and his team serve all of the OC and specialize in interior and exterior residential and commercial painting. They swear by the rules of professionalism: “no cutting corners. No cheap materials. We pay attention to every detail, and never call a job complete until the customer is completely satisfied.”

Some might call it good Christian values. Others might say it’s simply good

business. But for the last 42 years, working from the heart has earned One Way Painting such a respected reputation in the industry that the vast majority of their work comes through repeat customers or referrals from repeat customers. The company’s success isn’t merely rooted in customer service though. Boasting a superior knowledge of available product on the market and hiring the most profes sional crews in the business also goes a long way.

“Our reputation speaks for itself; but if it didn’t, we have 16 satisfied employees on our permanent payroll who would put a hand up in

defense of the standards we set,” says Jeff. Standards which were born and bred through a commitment to ethical business practices and hard work. In 2001, Jeff teamed up with seasoned professional Ron Bartz as a journeyman, then took over the company when Ron retired, and has been growing it ever since.

In 2009, Jeff took the pair of threeman crews and expanded the operation to encompass six crews, two office staff, and a project manager who oversees jobs, right alongside the man with the plan himself. “We currently have four trucks on the road and I’d like a full fleet someday. I’d like to leave a legacy for my daughters, and that means more than just cans of paint and a warehouse full of equipment and materials.”

To Jeff, it means taking care of his employees, taking care of his family: taking care of business. The hope is that One Way Painting becomes a household name, for its quality of work and quality of values.

My husband and I can happily attest to both. When we moved into our home in San Juan Capistrano five years ago, we acquired quotes for exterior painting from several contractors, but were particularly impressed with Jeff and his crew. Prior to starting work at our home, Jeff came by in person to go over what the job would entail and answered all of our questions. His team showed up right on time the first day - and each subsequent day - and at the end of each day everything was cleaned up before they left.

Their attention to detail is found from start to finish. For exterior projects, they begin by power washing to clean and remove any loose paint, mildew or mold. Then the patching: with stucco, trenching around the foundations and priming with an acrylic. They’ll treat your wood siding, eaves, fascia,

“We pride ourselves on working with a team of long-term employees - we do not hire off the street,” says Jeff. “We guarantee our work and do not require payment till the job is completed and the customer is completely pleased with our work.”

Jeff and his crew delivered on these promises and more than exceeded our expectations - the result was outstanding work, a job completed on time and on budget and defined by unparalleled customer service (Kelly in his office was hyper-responsive to our inquiries during the estimating

Most work depends on the client’s preference: flat to semi-gloss, acrylic or oil finish. Inside walls see flat, matte, eggshell, satin, semi, or hi-gloss. If you have natural wood cabinets and they need refinishing, One Way’s crew will see to it that they look new again. Also licensed and bonded as commercial painters, Jeff’s crew has been making businesses and their buildings look new again for 42 years. With a free on-site estimate, your custom needs are sure to have a custom solution. No deposits required, and “no surprises along the way,” Jeff is quick to add.

“I think at the end of the day what sets us apart is taking our time with each and every customer that comes our way,” says Jeff. “We run a business like every person we interact with is family.” They may not be the cheapest out there, but then that wouldn’t fly in Emerson’s eyes, and not in Jeff’s either. “Our business is based on the Christian ethic of treating every customer with honesty and integrity. Every job is done ‘as unto the Lord.’ Does this mean we’re perfect? No. It does mean that we strive to do the best painting job possible.”

South Coast Shutter and Shades

Operating honestly and with integrity has served as the foundation for the continued success of the Laguna Niguel-based South Coast Shutter and Shades for over 32 years. Owners Tom and Donna Schuster launched their own company after realizing that “on our own we would be able to offer quality products in an honest environment to our customers, as well as servicing the products we sell.”

Specializing in custom shutters, blinds (mini, faux, wood, vertical), cellular shades, woven woods, plantation and security shutters and everything in between, Tom and Donna offer free in-home consultations for design as well as measuring, they always include free professional installation and prefer to bring all of the samples to each client’s home to go over the assorted styles and many color options to suit each home’s interior and its homeowner’s unique lifestyle.

“We listen to you and then incorporate your ideas with ours to design your custom shutters, blinds or shades,” says Tom. “Our portfolios and samples are very extensive, so you will be able to envision how your windows are going to look when complete."

Tom and Donna, credit their success to date to the quality of customer service they and their team give their customers, which in turn creates a wonderful repeat and referral business. “Although there may be providers of similar products, there is no one that can match our superior customer service – from showing up on time, making precise measurements and flawless installations - and with a professional ‘can do’ attitude,” says Donna.

Tom adds that “our pricing with unbeatable discounts, sales support and the fact that we offer our customers an in-house design team at no additional charge is the first step in setting us apart from our competition. I am proud to say that we have built a reputation in the business for having the highest quality, best beauty, fit and finish and value available. All of our products come with a lifetime warranty.”

A 5-Star Yelp rated company, South Coast Shutter and Shades boasts scores of glowing testimonials online, including Debora R of Laguna Niguel who writes "Donna and Tom are amazing! Great products, great prices, great service.I've used them twice for two different businesses and I could not be happier. Donna makes suggestions based on what I tell her

my needs are and she has been spot on with her recommendations. Installations by Tom are quick and easy. Highly recommended!"

Another reviewer, Doug W. of Mission Viejo posted that "From the first call, I knew I was dealing with a reputable, experienced, HONEST company. Donna and Tom are absolute PROS and obviously take pride in their work … Their price was very competitive. Also, what they quote is what you pay - keep that in mind when talking to the "other guys" whose price seems to go up and up. All appointments including install were FAST. The installation was flawless. I had a question later that evening about my motorized shades and they called me back IMMEDIATELY. My impression is that I could call them 5 or 10 years from now and they would just as helpful."

Mission Viejo Wigs: Where Customers are “Family”

Mission Viejo Wigs is truly a family business. Not in the traditional sense, where its owners and operators share the same genes. But rather in such a way that every person who has walked through Owner Betty Darroch’s doors in the 30+ years she has been in operation immediately felt like a member of Darroch’s extended family.

As a professional hair and wig stylist since 1962, Betty began her career at CBS where her résumé reads like a celebrity screenplay starring the coifs of a veritable “who’s who” of Hollywood: Ann Margaret, Carol Lawrence, the Midnight Specials and the Sonny & Cher Show. She went on to work for the Hallelujah Hollywood Show at the MGM Hotel in Las Vegas.

But it wasn’t until she opened her own business in Mission Viejo that she felt as though she were “truly doing God’s work.”

Her clients today include people who are experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy treatment, alopecia or other medical conditions. Betty specializes in wigs, hairpieces and toupees for women, men and children and carries only the highest quality brands. Each wig or hairpiece is custom fit to the client for the most natural look and feel – no one will know you’re wearing a wig unless you tell them.

received many compliments on her “new do” and no one was the wiser.

It’s been over nine years since my mother completed treatment and is now leading a cancer-free life. Although her own hair has long since grown back, she still often prefers to wear Betty’s wigs on “bad hair days.”

Thank you Betty!

“Hair loss, whether it is the result of illness, the aging process or heredity, can be a traumatic and emotionally draining experience,” says Betty. “We work with people on a daily basis who are facing the issue of hair loss for the first time. Our goal is to help you find the solution that works best for you and do so in a caring way that makes you realize that you are not alone.”

There are wonderful testimonials from longtime customers on her web site (missionviejowigs. com), but for me, the best testament to Betty’s genuine, caring nature came from a source closer to home.

When my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer six years ago, there were so many aspects of what she was facing - including the side effects associated wit chemotherapy treatment – that were out of our control. But my mother’s appearance was something she felt she could dictate. We knew she would lose her hair, but she was determined not to “look like a sick person.”

From the moment my mother met Betty, she knew she had found the right place and more importantly, the right person to help her. Betty shared so many stories of survival – of longtime customers and friends who fought a similar battle and won. Her warm embrace and inspired  hope and help steel her resolve to maintain a positive, fighting attitude when she was diagnosed with lung cancer.

The wig Betty selected was the perfect color and style for my mother’s face (and head) shape. The wig was so natural looking that my mother

OLLI at UCI Delivers Excellence in Lifelong Learning

For over a quarter of a century, The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at University of California, Irvine (OLLI at UCI) has been providing world-class education and social opportunities for mature adults throughout Orange County.

OLLI at UCI is a volunteer-based organization of adult learners – retired and semi-retired – who come together to discover, share, and build social connections with one another in a rich learning culture. Endowed by the Bernard Osher Foundation in 2006, OLLI at UCI offers a variety of thought-provoking short courses, taught by UCI professors and other respected experts, that explore subject areas like literature, history, science, and the arts. Members act as course facilitators, assist with administration, and volunteer their time to keep OLLI at UCI a vital and thriving part of the Orange County community.

“OLLI at UCI provides a rich learning environment for active adults who want to keep their minds enlightened and connect with like-minded individuals during retirement,” says Lonnie Horn, President of the OLLI at UCI Board of Directors and longtime OLLI member and volunteer.

“Not only can you attend exceptional educational lectures, but you can also expand your social network by volunteering to help execute OLLI’s program and by joining special interest groups that explore topics like food, foreign languages, and film.”

Classes are offered in OLLI’s state-ofthe-art classroom at the Irvine Station

(a hybrid option is offered for most courses) and cover a wealth of subject areas, from literature and music to wellness, current events, and history. The instruction is first-rate, drawing from UCI faculty as well as retired instructors and local professionals who are experts in their fields. The annual membership fee of $235 (or $160 for one semester) gives unlimited access not only to current classes, but also a library of over 700 recorded lectures.
