Even though it’s a so-called “off-year� election, the races for elected offices in Boston are hugely important for Boston’s (and South Boston’s) future. Whoever is elected on November 5 will govern our City for many years – or perhaps even for decades! Are you interested in the ten most (10) important reasons to vote? If so, please read on. South Boston Online has them for you. #10 - Yes, we know: This isn’t a Presidential election. The races are all local and it’s an odd-numbered year. This election year even ends in “13�, an unlucky number. So vote anyhow. Show the nation that Boston’s voters don’t vote according to trends or out-of-date patterns. We vote because it’s our duty. #9 - Vote because we are privileged to have many, very capable candidates. It’s your right and your duty to vote for the candidate you believe is the most capable. When everyone votes, it’s a “winwin situation� for all residents of Boston (and South Boston). #8 - Think of your vote as an investment in Boston’s children and their futures. Cast your own vote
