Spring into February
Has spring sprung? It’s warmer than any other January or February thaw we here at South Boston Online can remember. But of course we haven’t been around all that long – we’re only as far as our singularly youthful adolescent years. Anyhow, take a look at the placid, sunlit Reserved Channel from the Summer Street Bridge. No, it isn’t spring yet, but it’s just over six weeks away – as is the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Ash Wednesday begins the Lenten Season only six days from now, and on Tuesday, Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow – spring, if not yet here, is at hand! -Rick Winterson
