Since graduating from college Tracey has shared God’s love in Puerto Rico and Brazil. Now serving as part of SAM’s team in Recife, she passionately points people toward Jesus, encouraging them to grow in their walk with him. She comes alongside several young women to examine the life of Jesus and consider how he challenges them to live.

Pastoral Training Incubators in Colombia and Peru meet once a month to learn, grow and collaborate on how they can nourish gospel movements in their cities and throughout South America. Dozens of pastors gather to strengthen how they plant churches, share Jesus, engage the culture, and initiate mercy and justice ministries.

TRAIN GODLY LEADERS

In 2022, 95 participants took part in our indigenous discipleship training schools in Colombia, Peru, and Brazil. Hundreds more were empowered through preaching courses, online seminary, and pastoral care. All are examples of our ongoing commitment to equip local leaders formed by God’s Word and shaped in Christ’s image.

The Wayuu are a large people group who live on the arid coastal border of Colombia and Venezuela. SAM has shared the love of Jesus among them for decades. Today we support local groups in leading literacy programs for hundreds of adults, opening the Word of God and expanding their personal opportunities via job and skills training.

Even more crucial than what we do is who we are. We strive to live out our redemption and identity in Christ as witnesses to our neighbors, ministry partners, and the world. This year we strengthened our commitment to experience the Gospel we proclaim through renewed field conferences and missionwide prayer. Pray for us as we live out God's calling.
